Wow, so welcoming all of those newcomers to our sanctuary cities and defunding the police and getting Soros DAs to let criminals go and no-bail and convicting police for saying a bad word to a POC really worked! We should have tried all these wondrous things a lot sooner.
But not murders. Usually, the police will show up to collect the bodies and pick them up and put them in body bags.
Mayor Marion Barry in DC was upset with the title Murder Captial of the US. He had murders reclassified so they weren’t murders. Dramatically improved the stats.
The NY Post is pretty conservative. I wonder if they are relying on the Federal Government for their data?

Whenever the official stats show murder rising are they also BS?

Data can be cherry-picked either way. You pretty much can’t believe anything anymore.
Even if the numbers are cooked, a 20% decrease means the murder rate is still much higher than it had been. IIRC in 2022 the rate was almost 40% higher than in 2019.
The metric they are using is a three month comparative data set. Virtually meaningless.
Just don’t identify it as murder and the murder rate drops.

16 less murders in a city of 8 million people is significant to imbeciles and the 16 people still alive.
This goes towards the bigger picture-
20,000 or whatever homicides in a once freedom loving nation of 375,000,000 diverse individuals whom are often armed is a problem to agenda pushing idiots.
Boston has only had two murders this year so far. What is Boston doing right?

The FBI has been reporting less crime since 2020, but it is misleading.
