This is the innocent 68-year-old grandmother who was punched in the face and pushed down the stairs outside a Queens church during a robbery that saw her sixteen-year-old attacker take off with her car.
Irene Tahliambouris suffered a fractured skull, black eye, and numerous bruises from the vicious assault that took place outside of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church on 152 Street in Briarwood around 8.20 on Sunday.
Her attacker Jayvaun Prince, 16, was taken into custody today in a gurney after suffering an unknown medical episode.

It’s not a racist term.
Does anyone remember the guys who stole children's Christmas presents collected by the Marines? By the time the police arrived the perps had slipped on the sidewalk and had multiple injuries and maybe broken bones.
What timeframe was that, and in what state or city?
Jayvaun needs to be snuffed.
Savages. Stay the F-— Away from them...Period.
Hope a member of her family does us all a favor....
I think the writer meant attempted murder.
Then he/she should write what they meant.
I sincerely hope his unknown medical episode was a mag dump.
During Covid and Triad NC.
The city’s response is to just not talk about it. They feel it makes people feel unsafe and causes more racism. So even though there are gangs roaming the streets, knocking people out and robbing them, it’s not really a problem.....for the city leaders.
I’m so sorry for your brother. It takes a long time to get over having a gun pointed at you.
I got mugged at gunpoint in Philadelphia and police tried , but not very hard. But that was before covid.
It was the Knockout Game except they add robbery.
Horrible!
Very common now. There is a street near Beale in Memphis that is a guaranteed spot for it.
The attack was on Sunday, the 7th. This article was written yesterday, the 12th, stating he was taken into custody, TODAY, on a gurney. So where has Jayvaun been between Sunday and yesterday?
The "medical episode" was probably the thug falsely claiming that he "couldn't breathe" as the thugs are now trained to do in order to claim that they are "victims". In a case like this where a severe beating is warranted, he is probably trying to protect himself from being "accidentally" dropped down a few flights of stairs (as he deserves) by the police as he is taken into custody.
