Remember when people were expected to endure being called names because it was the mature, rational thing to do? Now it’s justification for homicide. Heaven forbid a person gets “misgendered “!
Very true, malls are no longer safe.
My neighbor recently took his grandkids to our local mall in the evening - this is a very safe, low crime area - wanted to go to the food court and then let the kiddies ride around on those giant stuffed animals.
He said the mall was “ganged out” with young, menacing thugs and “teens” all over the place, hanging out, talking loud, cursing - he couldn’t get his grandkids out of there fast enough and said he’ll set foot in there again.
As Chris Rock said, there are two kinds of malls:
- The malls the white people go to.
- The malls the white people used to go to.
I feel dumber for even trying to make sense of that mess, but it’s still early where I am.
