CIA Wants Congress to Expand Top-Secret Eavesdropping Program To ‘Fight Against Fentanyl Crisis’
Gateway Pundit ^

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), along with other members of the U.S. intelligence community, are pushing for Congress to expand Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 in order to fight the ongoing fentanyl crisis.

According to the Brennan Center of Justice, Section 702, “Authorizes the government to collect the communications of non-Americans located abroad without a warrant from a court. While this surveillance is supposed to target foreigners, it inevitably sweeps in Americans’ private phone calls, emails, and text messages too.”

(snip)

However, CIA officials believe in its current form, Section 702 limits the intelligence community from targeting everyone involved in the fentanyl trade overseas and are advocating lawmakers to expand Section 702 so U.S. spies will have more liberty when it comes to going after criminals engaged in the fentanyl trade.

The CIA’s job on Fentanly resides in Mexico and covertly going after those sources in Mexico. The second part is law enforcement at the southern border, nearly to the point of closing it. We don’t need any expansion of title 702 under any excuse.

This has happened because the CIA and American citizens have all become fat, dumb and lazy. And when the CIA drops its agents into the field, add the attributes drunk and horny.

Fixed it for you.

Maybe they should stop letting truck loads of fentanyl to come across our border. I would start there instead of giving away more of our freedom to the government.

Isn’t it an open secret that the NSA and CIA plus the FBI and police departments are already snooping on emails, texts, positions of cars’ computers going past sensor checkpoints on the streets, and phone conversations?

Already true in the days of the first edition of The Puzzle Palace: Inside the National Security Agency by James Bamford (1982) and the sequel Body of Secrets: Anatomy of the Ultra-Secret National Security Agency (2002).

On the tv series Bull the quick summary for the audience had
“I want every phone call, every email, every text, every search he made on Google and every place he drove.”
“Should I ask where we’re getting all this information?”
“No, you shouldn’t. We just get it.”
(This was for prospective jurors given jury duty summons.)

They want to use it for other purpose, they could care less about the drug problem aside form the fact that they are supporting it

Brennan Center of Justice?

John Brennan? Justice? Give me a break? A contradiction in words.

Fentanyl isn’t a problem for people who don’t use drugs.

Don’t do dope and you won’t have to worry about Fentanyl!

Easy, peasy!

The CIA needs to lose powers, not gain them. They have abused the Constitution and should be held accountable.

Sorry, the CIA needs to be completely disbanded, and every current and former forcibly tattooed on their forehead with 2" that indicate their affiliation with that agency so that every actual American will no to not associate with them in any way.

Or you could just kill them all and bulldoze them into mass graves. Either way works.
