At least seven children between the ages of 12 and 17 were wounded in a mass shooting in busy downtown Indianapolis late Saturday night.
Officers were on patrol just after 11 p.m. when they heard gunshots near the Circle Centre Mall, a shopping plaza downtown, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department told Fox 59.
After rushing to the area of West Maryland Street, officers located a “large group of juveniles,” including six with gunshot wounds, Police Deputy Chief Tanya Terry said during a Sunday morning news conference, according to CNN.

Where is Yogi and Boo Boo?
I love St Elmo’s, but it is very risky to go there anymore.
Probably just a federally-funded Midnight Basketball Easter egg hunt that got out of control.
Those whacky teens are their goofy high jinks.

The bar for being an “honor student” these days is prolly pretty low in some precincts. Just saying.
Chasing down the father of their child.
I heard it was getting dangerous downtown. I have not been to St. Elmo’s about 7 years ago.
Why were kids this age in a mall, instead of home, at 11pm?
This is why there are entire websites devoted to formerly bustling, popular malls that are now abandoned and boarded up. Well, that and online shopping, of course.
My Parents were married at Christ Church.
You wouldn’t want them shot at home would you???
“Every town has the same two malls: the one white people go to and the one white people used to go to.” ―Chris Rock
Yup, they didn’t report on that, did they...
Hmmm....
Mall is parents’ babysitter, obviously.
My friends and I went to the mall on Saturday afternoons in Amarillo in the 60’s. About a 40-mile round trip on our bikes.
Then the police dragged the flasher out on a Saturday afternoon, with a picture in the newspaper. I was about 12.
I remember thinking, “why does he have his pants around his ankles?” That was what the newspaper showed, 2 cops dragging him out by his arms. I didn’t understand what that was about.
Looking for their long missing father? Grandmother went to bed hours ago and has no idea they left the house? Mother is on a date making their half-brother or half-sister as a spare when they get shot and killed or end up in an extended prison stay? Marking their territory? All of the above?
Is it me? I’ve gotten so jaded, and after my experience attempting to teach cretins like this — I don’t find this kind of thing all that problematic as long as actual humans aren’t involved/injured.
Let them weed themselves out of the gene pool. I’m done with them.
Indy has Demoratic leadership.
I haven’t gone there in a long time. I know a lady who has a daughter who is IPD and she has said Indy is very dangerous now in many areas.
