On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher stated that while food prices have gone up significantly under President Joe Biden, 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Trump is doing better among younger voters because he lies and “when you don’t know anything, you can’t compare it to what’s said.” And “we were just kind of lucky for 20 years, and there wasn’t much inflation. So, maybe you’ve never lived in a time when there was inflation. So, you think, oh, Trump, no inflation, Biden, inflation, me vote Trump.”

A great example of elitist thinking. The normal inflation doesn’t really mean much to those making millions. They didn’t worry about money before or after prices go up.
They don’t speak for those that are already not making ends meet. They can’t comprehend what it is like. It’s only because inflation has become so much worse they’re noticing...not that it actually rises to the level of them actually *worrying* about it.
This leads them to think inflation wasn’t really happening.

I buy from Rural King. It’s a farm supply store chain here in Indiana and other central northeastern states. The pool stores are almost twiice the price.
