When police are protecting the thieves, expect to see more and more of this. Eventually the looters and “squatters” will just start disappearing.

Meanwhile in Florida the legislature just passed a law allowing property owners to have the police remove squatters in one day.
Lead on.

I live in a rural neighborhood. The Sheriff gives trespassers the bum’s rush, as it should be.

It should be legal for a Homeowner to just walk in to their HOME and blast all intruders without question.

Disagreements about rent, it makes sense that it should go to court.
But how is this not simply trespassing if the squatters have zero evidence they were even allowed on the property.
Mail is not good evidence since anyone can change their address and have mail sent anywhere they want in days. Right now someone out for vacation for 2 weeks (or vacant for sale) can have property stolen simply by a squatter sending mail.
This is antiquated law and should not be this way.
