Judgement Day has finally arrived for Fani Willis.
Judge Scott McAfee, who presided over the Fulton County district attorney's disqualification proceedings, has ruled that Willis must step away from the Trump prosecution or cut ties with special prosecutor Nathan Wade, the private-practice attorney she hired to prosecute former President Donald Trump and with whom she had an undisclosed affair.
Advertisement According to the 23-page ruling, McAfee ordered, "[W]ere the case allowed to proceed unchanged, the prima facie concerns raised by the Defendants would persist. As the District Attorney testified, her relationship with Wade has only 'cemented' after these motions and 'is stronger than ever.' Wade’s patently unpersuasive explanation for the inaccurate interrogatories he submitted in his pending divorce indicates a willingness on his part to wrongly conceal his relationship with the District Attorney."
"As the case moves forward, reasonable members of the public could easily be left to wonder whether the financial exchanges have continued resulting in some form of benefit to the District Attorney, or even whether the romantic relationship has resumed."
"Put differently, an outsider could reasonably think that the District Attorney is not exercising her independent professional judgment totally free of any compromising influences. As long as Wade remains on the case, this unnecessary perception will persist," Merchant continued.

Interesting - I don't think anybody on the FR Fani threads considered a split decision. I didn't..
.
Is it possible that this was just a face saving decision being offered to Willis with the expectation that she will “choose” to step down from the case? That’s the best case spin I can put on it. I’m not holding my breath, but we’ll see how this plays out over the next day or two.
The State of GA has passed a new law with a Senate Committee which will remove Fani Willis, so the lame-@SS judge won’t have to— what an idiotic ruling “separate from the prosecutor”... that is get rid of the prosecutor but not Fani—??? She’s the one who misappropriated 600K in funds and spent it on trips with the clown boy.
This case is over, and Fani will be removed. The Judge is the judge in the case and is ruling from that perspective, hence all the mumbo jumbo, and don’t forget there are others in the “trial” who have already made plea deals for a case that should not even exist.
Watch for the GA Senate committee to take action. Stepwise this is to avoid the usual cosmetic league’s violent riotous action calls.
Can that still happen???
Can it happen SOON???
What about all that taxpayer funded salary paid to Wade just so he could lavish services to personally benefit Fani and him on vacation spending spree’s? Ripoff of taxpayers funds for personal enrichments. Outrageous unprofessional behaviors.
“ America is at a low ebb.”
Oh, I don’t think we’ve even scratched the surface of how low America will fall.
Yes, the judge will probably lose the election to the black candidate...but maybe he can get a gig as legal pundit for MSNBC.
HOW TAINTED is she regarding any future office in Georgia???
Well what did everyone expect? The UNI PARTY said jump. And their puppet judge did.
So the kingpin keeps her job, while the little fish gets tossed.
I am an optimist. Perhaps within this ruling there are statements that will give ammunition to Fani’s disbarment, removal from office. An appeal will further delay the case and can includes the late appearing evidence not heard during this trial.
YEEAAAH BOYEEE!!
When the judge stated he had young children I knew he would cave.
The American System of Justice has become completely corrupted and is DEAD.
It’s only there to give special treatment for those VIPs on the inside while it used to mete out punishment to the RFU’s (Rest Of Us)
To me - there is no difference between this and the Colonists who stood against Taxation Without Representation
As RFU’s we are relegated to 2nd Class Citizens except for our TAX MONEY, for that they push us yo the front of the line.
Why? The court of public opinion sides with President Trump.
MacAfee has destroyed the Justice System of Georgia, and the black community knows it. The black community within Fulton County is pissed because Fani Willis is making the big money and tripping the lights fantastic while they work hard just to stay even in this inflationary cycle.
This means Willis is unlikely to be re - elected.Adding to the public's distaste are the stories that describe Willis as a tyrant within her department, ruling over her staff as if they were slaves, pu$$y whipping them into line, especially her female staff, and passing out her alleged sunshine pu$$Y to her favorite bucks to keep them loyal and towing her anti American radical politcal line. Willis is not running a Prosecutorial Department in Georgia, its more like a breeding program for men as cattle and a breeding program for radicals......Fascism on the roll.
All this is coming out, delaying the prosecution trial of Trump until after the election , and turning the public against Willis and MacAfee.Willis is wringing her hands behind the scenes while conferring with her Washington puppet masters on who she will seduce next.
Jim Jordan wants an accounting of the 618 thousand dollars of Federal funds she has spent, and she has failed to provide the requested documentation, and so Willis is going to be subpoenaed before that Congressional Committee.
BUT we also witness the total destruction of the Georgia System of Criminal Justice by Willis and MacAfee And the people who will suffer most will be people who look like Fani.THey will not be voting for her.
TRUMP WINS INDEED.
“Judgement Day has finally arrived for Fani Willis.”???
Hardly. Looks to me like she was given an easy out, a choice and a way to continue persecution of Trump if she fires her lover from the case. How the hell can that be called “Judgement Day”?
