Was Google’s AI All About Election Interference to Stop Trump?

Google's Gemini AI chatbot became the center of controversy last week when it was discovered that the AI didn't want to create images of white people, couldn't say if Adolf Hitler was worse than Elon Musk, or wouldn't condemn pedophilia.

In the wake of these scandals, Google had a bit of a mea culpa.

“I know that some of its responses have offended our users and shown bias – to be clear, that’s completely unacceptable, and we got it wrong,” Google CEO Sundar Pichai said.

But the truth is, the responses were all by design. We've known of Google's woke ideology and political biases for years.

Yes, Gemini embarrassed Google, but the programming, algorithms, and AI training that led to this was not only rooted in woke ideology but motivated by the company's desire to influence elections against Republicans.

More specifically, to stop Donald Trump.

According to a new report from Michael Shellenberger at Public, the election of Donald Trump in 2016 was the catalyst for using biased AI to counter the "misinformation" that led to Trump winning.

One Google executive nearly started crying when recounting that Trump won. “It was this massive kick in the gut that we were gonna lose,” she said. “And it was really painful.”

Pichai struck a more neutral political tone in comparison to his colleagues. “We are in a democratic system,” he said. “I think part of the reason the outcome ended up the way it is is [because] people don't feel heard across both sides.”

But after a Google employee suggested that Trump won due to “misinformation” and “fake news coming from fake news websites being shared by millions of low-information voters on social media,” Pichai specifically pointed ”

At this point, Google was already using algorithms to manipulate search results. “There are many, many places where we are ranking,” Pichai said, “we are algorithmically doing stuff... understanding some of the things that are happening, and course correcting.”

Pichai suggested that there was a technological solution to “correct” the information that Google executives were convinced contributed to Donald Trump defeating Hillary Clinton.

“This is a problem of scale and not being able to keep up,” Pichai said. “Human systems fail in many of these things. So I think investing more in machine learning and AI could be one way we actually make progress.”

Computers do what they’re programmed to do and I’m not convinced that so called AI is any different.

The DNC should change their names to the Democratic Natuonal Socialist Party. If you look up the definition of racism, then you would see that the NAZs have taken over the party.

You are right. AI is what programmers want it to do.

Its not just google, its ALL of the AI companies. The main purpose of AI over the next 10 months is to censor ALL republican speech and thought, 24/7.

honestly, it looked to me like it learned history from reading a typical US history book these days. Which only talks about the civil rights movement, MLK, and the achievements of blacks in actually having built this country while the evil white men were slaughtering the peaceful indians. Original europeans were black, Egyptians were blacks, etc etc etc

Google simple read some of these books and spat out information based on what it learned.

Google is Pravda on steroids.
Mouthpiece for Russian collision nonsense,
J6 lies, et al.
Plannedemic promoter.
False election news 2020.
2024 more of the same already ramping up.

Yet we all love our Gmail and Maps.

Yes. On my journey to a business degree, it was utterly disturbing of examples used to support the learning journey. ALL of the go-getters, entrepreneurs, developers, inventers, outside-the-box thinkers, charismatic leaders, et al were females of all stripes and non-white males. One after another after another..... this was absolutely done on purpose with a purpose. What is one to do? Luckily for me, I was older (after military service) and well rounded on experience. The propaganda bounced off this rock noggin.

Disclaimer: I’m not implying the persons referenced was untrue. But the obvious fact that white males were obsoleted.

When I went to school they were trying hard to find anyone black to add to history and were left with basically Eli Whitney ... and that was it since history didn’t go up to the civil rights movement at that point.

Eli Whitney was a CAUCASIAN!

When I was in school, there was no such thing as "BLACK HISTORY"...there was just HISTORY and yes, we learned all about George Washington carver and other blacks who had invented things/were historical figures of some importance. But that was in the 1950s, when FACTUAL history was taught and there was no damned INDOCTRINATION/BIASES being spoon fed to children.

Even in the 1980s, my progeny got taught about Carver and others; however, yes, that was at an "elite" private day school, which sadly, now has gone WOKE and very lefty.

lol

shows you how much I was listening :)

I just remember something about some black guy inventing something, thought it was eli whitney, maybe it was someone else. The whole thing came across like a desperate attempt to find anything someone black had done in history at the time.

Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin, which deseeds cotton balls, and so, helped those who picked the cotton and had to deseed them by hand.

G.W. Carver was the man who did all kinds of things with peanuts and invented peanut butter.

LOL...I paid attention and that was far more decades than I care to disclose!

We also learned about the Crispus Attucks, the first person to be shot during the Battle of Bunker Hill, and many others; it was all just part of fifth grade curriculum, when every subject was about America and American history. I truly believe that we learned MORE about America and history, in the fifth grade, than graduate students, at all of the Ivies are getting fed today!
