An unseasonable warmup will continue to spread throughout most of the US this week, with high temperatures from Texas to the Midwest feeling more like May than the end of meteorological winter.
Hundreds of temperature records – record highs and record-warm lows – are expected to fall through midweek, with Monday and Tuesday forecast to be the warmest days across the Plains and Midwest. On Monday, more than 250 million Americans will experience above-average temperatures.
“This warmth is really beginning to build today across the middle tier of the country, and it continues to shift its way eastward by about Tuesday,” FOX Weather Meteorologist Jane Minar said.
Temperatures more typical for the end of May are possible in cities such as Omaha, Nebraska, and Indianapolis, with highs in the 60s and 70s.

Then March roars in and has brought some blizzard-like conditions.
[The scaremongering gets old, but it never stops.]
We’re also quite possibly headed for an outbreak of severe weather Tuesday across the central USA as a huge cold front moves down from Canada.
That graph needs to be adjusted for a 6000 year creation model.
So, does this mean we will finally get a Spring season in the Northeast rather than the usual Winter right into Summer weather? Great news.
Normal temps here, but I like an early start to spring, bring it on.

“Normal temps here, but I like an early start to spring, bring it on.”
Early springs are great... as long as they don’t come with a “surprise” late freeze... after the plants are already in ground.
More and more climatologists are admitting there is no warming. How can you have record high temps when the largest ocean in the world is causing record snows?
