Rinos in Tennessee are trying to deny President Trump access to the ballot and all electoral votes from Tennessee.

The bill would go into effect immediately after being signed, and it would “BAN Presidential electors from the state of Tennessee from casting a vote for any presidential or vice presidential candidate whose eligibility for office is in question or doubt at the time of the vote, and until such time as the candidate has been properly investigated and cleared of any reasonable doubt.”

The bill was introduced by a REPUBLICAN as communist secretaries of state across the country are trying to remove President Trump from the ballot.

The bill has already passed in the TN Senate on first consideration, and now it’s in House, waiting to be reviewed by the elections subcommittee. From there, the bill will go straight to a vote, which could be any day now.

Pretty low bar. Question, doubt, reasonable doubt. Not even a conviction of crime.

And these are Republicans.

“question or doubt” by whom???? Anyone.

The propoased language leaves it so open as how such “question or doubt” is either quanitified or qualified. I think any high court, state of federal would agree.

Yeah. Read that.

So Niceley is a bit of a nut, but not that much. The fact that Leftist online organizations say things like “rejects mainstream views of climate science” tells us all we need to know. Probably everything he’s ever said that was controversial was taken out of context.

Loomer needs to moderate her comments.

The fact that a State is trying to do this is rightfully pointed out as a problem. The unhinged little girl who is the Colorado SoS - Griswold - is trying to claim the same thing: that she can just label anyone an “insurrectionist” and take them off the ballot. So it’s definitely a dangerous road once you try to go down it. The NBC conditions should be clearly debated and defined at the Federal level and a way to verify them put in place that is not simply Nancy The Mafia Princess Pelosi signing a little paper that says “Barry izza ‘Merican!”.

I don’t believe this at all. Our local talk shows would be all over it.

Not a word.

I think they know they can’t stop him so they are trying to weaken him every way possible.

President Trump a strong base of supporters who will crawl over broken glass to vote for him, but to win, he also needs the votes of many more who are leaning in his direction or sitting on the fence.

The RINOs are doing everything they can to convince these leaners and fence sitters that Trump has too much baggage and can’t win in November.

They know he will still win the nomination, but it makes a difference how big the win is - if he absolutely stomps Haley and stays ahead of Biden in the polls, he will have a clear mandate and control the party platform, cabinet picks, running mate decisions, etc..

If the win is so-so or a squeaker, then he goes on weak - the RINOs can force him to cut deals.. that’s what they are trying to accomplish.

“(B) Effective immediately upon the adoption of this act,
presidential electors for this state are prohibited from casting a vote for
any presidential or vice presidential candidate whose eligibility for office is
in question or doubt at the time of the vote, and until such time as the
candidate has been properly investigated and cleared of any reasonable
doubt.”

This CAN be used against President Trump and I read it as intentionally so. Fortunately the premise is too vague to stand up to any logical judicial interpretation so there’s that.

Maybe we can go really old school: If he floats he’s guilty and if he doesn’t he was innocent.

“We have met the enemy, and he is us.” It will be our own ignorance and lack of inspection that will be our downfall. Due diligence, my friends.

SCOTUS opened up this Pandora's Box when they affirmed the "faithless Elector" laws. I still say that it is unconstitutional to pass any laws binding the vote of Electors to the Electoral College.

The Framers intended the Electors to that "no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector." Laws like this usurp the power of Electors by the legislatures that are passing these laws.

Article II Section 1 says:

Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.
It is my belief that the " Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct" only applies to how Electors are selected, but cannot apply to how they vote. If legislatures can pass laws forcing Electors to vote a certain way, then the legislatures become the de facto Electors and Electors become rubber-stamps of the legislatures.

Perhaps, but that is not the sponsor’s intent. You need to read the entire bill, which expressly refers to qualifications under Article II of the Constitution — age, natural born citizenship, and residency. The bill does not directly or indirectly reference the insurrection/rebellion clause of the 14th Amendment, and even if it did, it would be unconstitutional because only Congress has the authority to enforce the 14th Amendment as clearly stated in Art. 14, § 5.

Although there may be Rats and RINOS who will try to twist the legislation into something that it is not, I am convinced that the state senator who proposed the legislation has his sights not on Trump. but but on Haley and Harris, and was motivated by Obama, none of whom were natural born citizens. Indeed, in 2009, State Senator Niceley was was one of four Republican members of the Tennessee House to announce plans to join a legal action to force President Barack Obama to release his birth certificate and prove his citizenship.” (See Post No. 33)

Perhaps I've grown too cynical, expecting evil to lurk around every corner and bad intentions written into legislation. Good thing it won't stand because of the vagueness of language. You'd think the lobbyists who write bills these days would deliver better product for the money they make.

And the Dems are STILL selling the fairy tale about a magic negro born in Hawaii. Got to give them credit for sticking to script.

Not sure if it is fake, but I recall reading during the “Obama Era” that the book jacket for Obama’s first book stated that he was born in Africa.
