CLAIM: New York City is giving credit cards to migrants living in the U.S. illegally.
AP’S ASSESSMENT: Missing context. The city is launching a pilot program that will provide migrants with prepaid debit cards to buy only food and baby supplies, according to a spokesperson for the mayor. Participants will be allowed to shop with the cards at bodegas, grocery stores, supermarkets and convenience stores. The goal is to cut costs, officials said.
THE FACTS: Amid a massive influx of migrants to New York City, social media users are misrepresenting the new program with false claims about the type of aid participants will receive.
“Lunatic Democrats handing out credit cards to foreigners while Americans are struggling,” reads one post on X, formerly Twitter, that had received approximately 7,900 likes and more than 3,800 shares as of Tuesday.

Debit makes it even worse, that just means they don’t have to pay it back.
The message remains the same whether it is. CRedit cards or debit: “Break our laws and we will pay you a ton of money and help you continue breaking our laws”
And every bodega and ethnic quick store will be taking those EBT debit cards for ‘designated’ goods and trading them for anything the slag wants.
Adrian Rogers had the right ideas on government and welfare:

It is difficult to force banks to extend credit to people who have no verifiable form of ID and no permanent address. I suspect that this is the reason that banks have closed so many branch offices. .
NEITHER EVENT SHOULD BE HAPPENING
They don’t care what the migrants do with the debit cards, but the reason they are given the cards is to help them build a credit history. You and other tax payers are making the initial deposit.
What ridiculous spin. The fact is they are being rewarded with taxpayer money for breaking the laws. They should only be given bus tickets to Mexico.
They can’t build credit history if they aren’t paying the bill. They are being given plastic money. We are paying the bill.
That is what I mean, they think that deposit more money into the account might encourage them to find a job. No one ever said that these WOKE planners were smart.
All those supporters of Mayor Adams are all for this, right?
They’ll vote him right back into office b/c there are no New Yorkers who need help, right?
