The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in a rare overtime Super Bowl finish, capping off a thriller in Las Vegas that saw several lead changes in the second half.
The Chiefs will bring home the Lombardi Trophy for the second year in a row and the third time in five years as Patrick Mahomes led his team to a comeback victory after the Niners dominated the first half.
This is the second time the Chiefs have sent the Niners packing in five Super Bowls, in what at times felt like a repeat of the 2020 game.
The win cements the Chiefs as the new NFL dynasty and the team to beat under head coach Andy Reid, Mahomes, and the fan favorite Travis Kelce.

I’m predicting a very short relationship. He’s getting some bad publicity...and it will be brought up again and again...every time he hits the field.
He’s roided up to the max. Of course the NFL won’t do anything about it, he’s the face of the league now.
They were acting like school girls....Freshman at best....not fans at all...
There has to be some very strict rules about “assault” of the coach. I suppose they’ll fine him a couple mil...and that’ll be the end of it.

Tell ya what I did... I had some travel to do that has been necessary for some time and a few weeks ago, I deliberately booked a flight to take off at 5:30 pm last night. As it turned out, the departure and arrivals airports were to a large extent empty, and the plane was just a bit more than half full. That was a nice bonus and others must have been thinking the same way as I didn’t hear a solitary reference to the game.
I didn’t watch a second of last night’s game, and watched the extended edition of Return of the King instead.
Maybe at some point the NFL will return to glory, but for now, I think we should embrace the fact that they can’t count on our viewership anymore. It’s too fake, too poorly officiated, poorly played, and again is nothing more than a mechanism for societal control.
Good riddance.

I did not mean anything racial about calling Harrison Butker “a boy”. I should have stated “that young man”. But to me he is a boy because I’m old enough to be his father by two and a half times. Just like my two sons, who are grown men, but they will always be my boys. Regards.
The woke global corporations have hijacked my sport! I started easing back into it this year, but now am done for good. I prefer scripted pro wrestling from the 80s
