WASHINGTON — A clear majority of the Supreme Court’s nine justices signaled Thursday that they would overturn a Colorado ruling barring former President Donald Trump from the state’s Republican presidential primary ballot.
The former president, 77, and his lawyers were appealing the Dec. 19 decision by Colorado’s Supreme Court that found Trump ineligible for the March 5 Republican contest by virtue of violating the Constitution’s so-called “Insurrection Clause” during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
Trump’s team argued separately that Congress — not the states — was tasked with enforcing the clause, that the provision did not apply to the office of president, and denied that the 45th president engaged in an insurrection by seeking to remain in office after his 2020 election defeat by Joe Biden.
During oral arguments, Chief Justice John Roberts fretted about the possibility that upholding the Colorado ruling would open the door to red and blue states removing politicians of opposing parties from the ballot on a whim.
“It’ll come down to just a handful of states that are going to decide the presidential election. That’s a pretty daunting consequence,” Roberts said.

There’s an actual non-political reason to keep Biden off the ballot. The man is mentally incapacitated which affects the whole country. The DNC should’ve told him to retire and put someone else in the ring. It’s somewhat baffling that they haven’t done so.
After listening to this hearing today I’m leaning to a 9-0 decision.

MY guess is that they are afraid that red states will turn around and use their tactic against them.
They don't care about the Constitution or real justice, just what they can get out of it.

I noticed that as well & it rather surprised me, but it seems that anyone with good sense would recognize this movement for what it really is.....they want to insure Trump can’t get elected. Who, in their right mind, would want Biden re-elected?

1) Colorado had NO CASE. In fact, these TDS based determinations and rulings attempting to ripple Trump actually make him far stronger. Thank you numb nuts Colorado.

They just don’t want Trump to be president because he stands in the way of the globalists’ takeover of the United States. He’s the last hope we have. They cannot tolerate that so they attempt to destroy him any way they can short of assassination. That would be their last desperate playing card if all this nonsense, and the ballot fraud, fails.
This is a spiritual battle and deep down these people hate God and civilization. It’s diabolically inspired.

I listened to the Court’s questioning of Colorando’s counsel and the skepticism over the Colorado position was palpably sceptical and universal. I’m looking for a majority ruling in Trump’s favor. It’s still a scary proposition that the Left got this close to orchestrating a coup in our national election. It began with Pelosi’s J-6 production which was the ‘mother of all smears.’ She is a super evil witch and needs to somehow be brought to account by Trump.
It's a rare occasion when Kagan and Sotomayor agree with Thomas and Alito ... When they do, the losing party has indeed been thoroughly spanked.
They should remove all Democrats and Independents from their ballots.
It’s likely they will punt because they don’t want to get too deep into politics. Just like the Texas case from December 2020.
Listening to Jackson during the hearing makes me skeptical that she would vote for Colorado in this case.
