First, since I only aspire to be a Demothug, I can’t answer. But isn’t it Trump who has used for years and plans to use the legal system for his own gains and retribution? Which again points out your desire for outcome vs rule of law. Sort of puts you in the Rev Al and Jesse Jackson camps.
lol like Trump being on the ballot in Illinois matters, that worthless state, well at least Chicago area is lost, perhaps the rest of the state should look to join neighboring states.

Having removed Trump from the ballot, the Illinois Electors will not be seated in the electoral college when it gathers in December.
The Jan.20th 2017 riot by Democrats was a bigger insurrection than Jan.6th yet it’s completely ignored today. On that date Democrats attacked cops, destroyed property, committed arson, and attempted to stop the inauguration of a duly elected President. On top of this they also threatened to kill electors. I was there. The Fife Patrol was gleefully tossing flash bangs and teargas into the crowd, which to my eyewitness account was loud, angry and peaceful. We honestly had no idea of any violence issues till we got near the car and heard someone talking about it.
That will be true only if the Republicans hold the House of Representatives. The new (118th) Congress will be sworn in January 3, 2025. If the Dems win the House, that strategy is dead.
