Something I did not know and I suspect many do not know, but it is NOT the National Guard at the Southern border but the state of Texas's own military! Texas has a military branch not connected with the Federal Government.
Look up state guard in Wikipedia! Constitutionally all states can have them, only about half do. It’s what’s left of the old state militia system.
Strange situation where a state has to protect itself from Feds who are violating their own laws.
With a potus with such severe dementia is it any wonder his decisions make no sense?
Activate militias in all red states.
NG can only be federalized with state gov ok.
Texas is its own republic but a union member. It was part of the terms for becoming a state.
I hope you know it isn’t a combat unit and that you can join at age 67.

I think I read that OFFICIALLY the president has to place a request to the governor of a state to call up the NG.

Back during Obama’s 1st term he was scared of the Tea Party and feared they would overthrow his regime so he asked the Pentagon to study what would the Military do in such a case and it was determined if such an outcome did happen most bases could easily be shut down and isolated from resources to operate in short order, many bases and units would desert or refuse any orders out of Washinton and go to the other side, internal passive and overt sabotage...So the bottom line is if Washington DC thinks the Military is soundly in their corner they might want to rethink that.
They may not be known by name, but there are still many Frank Hamer types still out and about. I would venture a guess that they will show up when it’s time. I’m just sitting back and waiting... watching. The numbers that will show up will be surprisingly great.

I do. Sounds about right. When I went to school, they taught Texas History, and most of it right.
