DeSantis team cries foul after Iowa called early for Trump

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida lashed out at the media Monday after networks declared former President Donald Trump the winner before some caucus sites had started voting.

“It is absolutely outrageous that the media would participate in election interference by calling the race before tens of thousands of Iowans even had a chance to vote,” said DeSantis spokesman Andrew Romeo. “The media is in the tank for Trump and this is the most egregious example yet.”

The news broke at a caucus site here right around the same time a surrogate for Mr. DeSantis had taken the stage to sing his praises.

Mr. DeSantis has been growing increasingly frustrated with conservative media outlets, accusing them of shielding Mr. Trump from scrutiny.

“[Trump’s] got basically a Praetorian Guard of the conservative media. Fox News, the websites, all this stuff,” Mr. DeSantis said at a recent campaign stop, alluding to Roman emperors’ bodyguards.“They just don’t — they don’t hold him accountable because they’re worried about losing viewers and they don’t want to have the ratings go down.”

But why not wait until all Iowans had had the opportunity to complete the process before publishing the results, inevitable as they were?

Complaining about “vote suppression” after a night of Iowa caucuses that saw one candidate win by the largest margin in history for a contested race is a bit much.

Main problem Ron has is Ron. He is a mealy mouth slow on the uptake person. People have said he is kind of rude and disinterested in speaking to them. He has a uninviting personality which he displays on a regular basis.

Even the right staff can’t fix the problems with Ron.

A smart guy would know by now that he has a job still waiting for him to show up in Florida and call it quits. He could salvage that.

I watched how the Caucus was conducted.

Crowds gathered
A spokesperson for each of the four contenders SPOKE
Then the attendants Joined the people lining the walls to show support for that candidate.

From the start, the appearance of MORE people joining the SPOKESMAN FOR TRUMP HAD FAR MORE PEOPLE JOINING IN.

The numbers were reported around the SAME TIME.

TRUMP HAD THE MOST PEOPLE JOINING HIS SPOKESMAN THAN ANYONE ELSE AND THEY REPORTED THAT EARLY ON.

I’m double dare sure that the numbers were accurate!

As I recall, in 1980, Jimmah Carter conceded the election to Reagon before most Californians had gone to vote. Jimmah gave me my 13.5 % mortgage in 1980 so good riddance.
