President Biden will not run for re-election during a tumultuous year that will see parts of the country suffer rolling blackouts, the release of an inhaled COVID vaccine and a boycott over driverless cars, a top JPMorgan Chase strategist predicted.
Michael Cembalest, who heads the market and investment strategy unit in the Wall Street bank’s asset management division, made the shocking forecasts in his list of ‘Ten Surprises’ for 2024 over the weekend.
Tops among the budding Nostradamus’ prophesies was that 81-year-old Biden will drop out of the race “sometime between Super Tuesday and the November election, citing health concerns.”
“Super Tuesday” refers to the March 5 presidential primaries and caucuses that will be held in more than a dozen states, including California, Texas, Massachusetts, Vermont and North Carolina.
The winner of the “Super Tuesday” contests is considered the heavy favorite to eventually capture the party’s nomination for president.
Cembalest issued his predictions in newsletter as a tribute to former JPMorgan market strategist Byron Wien, who had made 10 prognostications every year for nearly four decades before his death last year at age 90.
Also on Cembalest’s list was that Americans will reject self-driving electric vehicles following several accidents that have roiled San Francisco, and a warning that blackouts will strike New York, Texas, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Tennessee due to a natural gas shortage.

More accurately, Biden will not be permitted to run in 2024.
What I’ve thought all along.
The strategy is to not give the right any time to focus on who the nominee will actually be......and taterhead is in on it
Texas produces 30 billion sq ft of natural gas per day, not sure they will have shortages.
Yes, most would agree at his time. Big Mike is my guess for his replacement.
I think Joe will take it as far as the convention. After that, the DNC can just select whomever they want as a replacement.
Ballot printing may be a problem with a new name chosen at the last minute, but I bet they have a plan for that already worked out.
Why do you think Obama just recently visited the WH to chat with Biden. Believe me, it's not to help him and his campaign, it's to convince him he needs to step aside for the good of the party. Just like Biden did with Breyer.
He might drop out 11/4/2024?
Could be; stranger things have happened. My bet is on Newsom, the highly dyslexic tool of the left.
Sure. Give him a chance to drop out on his own, or Jill the chance to drop him out. If not, well then, start squeezing.
The DNC is going to try a “bait and switch” by having Joe take all the “bad” and then drop out last min.
The DNC simply wants a vassal so they can continue to run things, as they do now.
We did during the Big Freeze in 2021
Agree that Biden will be dumped. Also just how he and Harris are replaced without primaries will be interesting to observe. It will be an exercise of raw power by the Democrat elites.
Did they ask Breyer to retire from the court early or did they just announce his retirement for him, leaving the angry Breyer fuming that he could either accept it and go peacefully or go against his party?
He’ll drop out of the race without even knowing it.
Newsom would also solve the Kamala Harris problem, since the president and VP can’t be from the same state. Where to park Kamala will be a minor but interesting question since the left usually takes care of its own. Harvard is looking for a new president and Kamala has the necessary qualifications: black, female, stupid, a party lining hack prepared to lie on command. A perfect fit.
Correct, and Newsom is perfect for the role, unable to read for himself. Just the kind of guy we need when the chips are down, and WWIII is about to grab high gear. He’s telegenic, glib, and smart. Women, and some men, swoon. Again, look at the interview with Hannity...
