A True GREAT lesson in life. One the kid will never forget, and it will be his story to tell at cocktail parties. I was put on a bus at the age of 5... with a suitcase to go across town in Hutchinson, Kansas, switching buses...THESE were good life lessons.
At 16, he should have heard the on-board announcement before the plane took off.
16?!? It’s not only the Biden administration but a couple of generations of major failure why we’re the laughing stock of the world. Any previous generation 16 year old would think it was a lark and make the best of his time there even if he was just stuck in the airport a few hours.
Reminds me of our nephews when they were tweens and teens who were too scared to go into the attached garage to see the new born kittens because, well, oh my gosh, kittens are animals!! And the garage opens to the big bad scary outside!!
The father of a minor was able to get a pass to escort him to the gate.
Period.
Hey, at least they kept the kid in the same general part of the planet.
Sorta. Well...........
Gee whiz, you people are never happy........
My sister and I flew to Las Vegas from Denver when we really young. I think I might have been eight and my sister would have been six. We were treated like friggin royalty!!! It was awesome.
Ya, 16 y.o.? when I was 16 I used to disappear for the weekend. nobody batted an eye. did brake jobs for my dad, had a job, worked until 2 am. My parents rarely asked what I was doing.
They did that kid a favor if you ask me š
Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Lose?
Well, a funny thing happened and it’s pretty much your last name.
See, what happened was......
16 and āso scaredā and the father ācanāt keep him safeā? And you know they went to the press about this. That family is missing an ārā at the end of their name. Kid could have legally driven from Tampa to Cleveland by himself. I would have loved a road trip like that at 16. Dorks.
I hope he didn’t drink the water?
Every flight I have taken in my long and unillustrious life began with the announcer saying, “This flight is scheduled to land in Hooterville, if your destination is anywhere else please contact a flight attendant immediately.” Among the many errors of the airline, this one is on him, he should have been listening.
16 year olds can drive and are plenty old enough to be accountable for actions.
This is a very stupid 16 year old. Donāt trust him with a car or a phone.
And be sure you donāt hire him!
They wouldāve known it was the wrong flight if they scanned the boarding pass.
We show up and we have to work too?.
Modern times
Was this his first flight? By that age I’d long since learned to read the monitors and find a gate. Although they don’t do all the gate switching they do now.
On the other hand, Frontier has always been a crappy airline (only place I’ve disputed a charge for tickets - the credit card company did refund me.)
I might fly with them if the only option was Greyhound.
If I was 16 and I was sent to visit family members in Cleveland, Iād get on the wrong flight, too.
The kid is lucky that he was able to board a flight to escape to Puerto Rico instead of Damascus.
16 is old enough to realize the weather is way better Puerto Rico and make a “mistake”.
if he had been on the west side of cleve, plenty of puerto ricans.
kid seems like a bit of a squish.
