PORTLAND, Maine — Maine’s Democratic secretary of state on Thursday removed former President Donald Trump from the state’s presidential primary ballot under the Constitution’s insurrection clause, becoming the first election official to take action unilaterally in a decision that has potential Electoral College consequences.
While Maine has just four electoral votes, it’s one of two states to split them. Trump won one of Maine’s electors in 2020, so having him off the ballot there should he emerge as the Republican general election candidate could have outsized implications in a race that is expected to be narrowly decided.

By what mechanism could this be done?
The action of removing Trump’s name, based on the results of a relatively few disgruntled voters together with an absurd use of the Constitution, seems clearly in and of itself to be an interference in the election.

Going nowhere. Trump will increase his edge. The courts will keep him on the ballot in all 50 states.
Kennebunkport is in the first congressional district....20% of the state’s area and liberal.
CD 2 is 80% of the state and carried by Trump by 10 points in 2016 and by 9 points in 2020. Trump received one electoral vote each time by winning this district.
We’re headed to cw2 one way or another.
Stay away from the coast and Bangor for fewer libtards. They are starting infest to infest other areas though.

I live in Maine and the vast majority of lobster fishermen are Trump supporters.
Obviously she is not a believer in the presumption of innocence.
The fear emanating from the left over Trump winning is palpable.
They must be in pure panic mode of states are going to these lengths to keep Trump from office.
Absolutely it’s the blue hellholes called cities that are destroying this country.

And thank you for not broad brushing the whole state for it. There are many good and honest people who live in every state that simply have no control over the cities or the election fraud in the cities that swing the state, and they DON’T *deserve it*.
These people are trying to start a war.
