WASHINGTON — Chinese President Xi Jinping bluntly told President Joe Biden during their recent summit in San Francisco that Beijing will reunify Taiwan with mainland China but the timing has not yet been decided, according to three current and former U.S. officials.
Xi told Biden in a group meeting attended by a dozen American and Chinese officials that China’s preference is to take Taiwan peacefully, not by force, the officials said

I sure can see Xi talking to Biden that way. I’m just surprised that Xi didn’t grab Biden by the collar, and shake him a bit. You know, for emphasis.

Eastern Europe, Middle East and Asia, sounds like WW III. In 2024 we could potentially be in real wars with Russia, Iran, and China, it takes real talent to screw things up that bad, especially coming from a brain damaged POTUS.
“Peacefully” is a euphemism used by the commies ... here ... it means that the US will stay out of it.
Since it is coming out of NBC, not sure how much of this is believable. It could be written to create an impression about how FJB “stands up” to the CCP that bought him off with payments through Hunter .... and quite cheaply at that.

All China has to do is work for the people of Taiwan to elect a pro-reconciliation govt and put a merger plan to the vote.
I would guess that seeing what war has done to other US “ allies” and proxies would influence the Taiwanese to choose another path than being patsies for our MIC to run up more Billions in weapon sales using Taiwan as bait to get a war going vs China.
The head of FOXCON recently announced he is running for president of Taiwan. Expect China to treat him worse than Biden treats Elon Musk.

We have no diplomatic relations with Taiwan. We adhere to a One China policy. We are a trade partner and no more...and should keep out of their “Political” affairs. Others may see differently,...but that’s what I see.

To take Taiwan, China must be a functioning nation.
