I’d love to see phone/text scammers executed.
That’s a pretty scary one because her threads matched up and she had recently had an S8. She was primed by those two things.
Well, that’s what happens when you deal with a dope bank. Started as one, still handles cartel money. Comey was even associated with it.
We used to pay by cash and checks. And the world was fine.
Then bank and the government pushed electronic banking on us, without being able to make it secure. And when it fails, we pay the price.
No business or financial transactions are done by phone, text or otherwise.
Two words - Zero Trust.
Poor baby, I feel so bad for her. These scammers are constantly sending me phishing emails. As much as I want to scam them, it’s not worth taking the chance. I automatically delete the emails and move along. It’s also the reason I got rid of my cell phone. I hardly ever used it anyway.
Let’s say that a ring of thieves are stealing cars in a city. Eventually the city will take notice. A police task force will be formed to break up the ring.
Now let’s say that a ring of thieves are using phone calls and e-mails to scam innocent people out of millions of dollars. The government does…nothing. They don’t even bother to use the media to alert people to the threat.
Yes, most of these scams originate overseas. But I cannot believe that the government does not have the resources to jam - and then destroy - this filth.
I guess our government just doesn’t care.
Recently, I got an email from my bank stating that my account balance was $0. VERY official looking from top to bottom. Several places to click...
I’m suspicious of every text I did not expect. I do a little bit of investigating if it seems even remotely useful to me. I especially don’t want to respond and get on someone’s spam list.
Dang I hope they do not screw up that movie.
Why do people fall for this crap? Always call your bank with the numbers you have, never take anything on a text or email until you verify independently.
bkmk
Never click a button/link in an e-mail that you receive.
About the only ones using HSBC are the drug cartel laundering money ... did she need to lauder some money?
Have had a bank account since I was 16.
NOW 84.
NEVER, EVER had a bank call ME.
Would go to the bank if there ever was a problem-—WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING OVER THE PHONE.
I recently was notified my phone was being tracked. When I checked into it with my limited knowledge of knowing how, I found out they were all tracking me somehow through my health care provider.
I don't use my phone for any of that.
