Pres. Trump hasn’t got the greatest track record on choosing people to assist him. I think you’re right, Christie was probably slipping in some revenge. He seems to be that kind of guy.
>>”I like desantis. I think he’s presenting himself well against newsome. It I think his time is 2028. 2024 provides good practice”
I would agree with you if all I knew about him was how he did in tonight’s debate. The problem is, what you saw tonight was just the superficial veneer of a dyed in the wool Establishment Republican. People need to look deeper, and I think most have or we’d be seeing DeSantis doing a lot better in the polls.
He’s shown enough of that side that politicians like to keep hidden, to give the game away. DeSantis won’t be any less of an Establishment tool, 4 years from now.
Obama won based on those credentials that are important to the low information voters. Similarly Bill Clinton too.
Weird thing is Newsome reminded me of a young Biden like when there is video of Biden back in the 80s
How about the NBC poll from two weeks ago? My analysis of that poll showed that President Trump has large support from the Republican base.
When asked for-or-against head-to-head questions between Trump and Biden, 63% of Biden voters said they were voting against Trump, while only 37% of Trump voters said they were voting against Biden.
Clearly, the Biden voters don't want Biden but the Trump voters do want Trump.
An early November Quinnipiac University poll needed a D+5 demographic to get Biden to beat Trump by +1, and in the October NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist Poll, they had to use a D+7 demographic to get Biden to beat out Trump by +3.
And finally, this June CNN poll compares Biden to each of the leading Republican candidates at the time.

Imagine a debate between Kennedy and Newsome. They sound like the people buried up to their necks on the cult classic horror flick Motel Hell
Yeah the one time I wish Hannity would butt and demand an answer like he does on his radio show, but gave Newsome several passes.
Missed opportunity to not mention the legalized shoplifting in California. Shame on Hannty and even Desantis for not hammering this fact
Keep waiting, he’ll even be much better in 2028
There you go again — Ronald Reagan.
Look up “Cult of personality” and you will see it relates to you rather to Trump supporters.
Oh, and nice ad hominid.
You mad, bro?
Maybe Hannity misses Alan Colmes and Newsom reminds Hannity of him.
They were both smooth, but a little too slick.
They both married a conservative or near-conservative.
Colmes married staunch conservative (who worked for Richard Nixon) Monica Crowley's sister; Newsom married Kimberly Guilfoyle, cheated on her, they divorced, she joined Fox News, and is now engaged to Donald Trump, Jr.

Good observation!
Take a look at my 2016 review of the moderator debate questions from the four Nixon-Kennedy debates of 1960.

Mark Penn pretty much stated that Sean did a great job with tonight's debate. He congratulated Sean.
Call me crazy, but I went back and watched the debate again (minus commercials). There was some crosstalk between DeSantis and Newsom in only a few of the segments -- not as many as I remembered initially.
In the segment about homelessness (which was near the end of the debate), Sean did wimp out and let Newsom bloviate. Greasy Gavin really tried to dominate DeSantis, and he even interrupted Hannity in mid-sentence. Sean should've cut Newsom short right there.
And of course in the final question, Newsom never really answered the question about what he liked about Florida.
Overall, the crosstalk wasn't the worst I've heard in tonight's debate - not by a long shot. I don't remember the last time I ever heard many decent answers by democRATs to any moderators' questions over the decades I've been watching political debates. These a-hole smarmy democRATs always do what Newsom did tonight.
I still say overall Hannity did very good job as moderator tonight. Hubby and I are both surprised he did as well as he did. I fully expected Sean to interrupt and bloviate at times, and lose control on numerous occasions, which he didn't do.
I'm afraid we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one, FRiend. I'm not a super Hannity fan either. I just thought overall he did a very good job.
Watching the debate for the 2nd time: Ron DeSantis really knocked it out of the park tonight.
Great to see you on the thread tonight. :-)
ROTFL! 🤣
I wish DeSantis had stayed in Florida, finished his term in 2026, and joined the Trump administration after that as a prelude to his own run in 2028.
But that didn't happen.

President Trump could still give DeSantis a cabinet position in 2026 when his term as governor is over.
Let's first see how DeSantis handles the Trump campaign in Florida next year. Do they make up or will sour grapes get in the way?
Look how easily Kamala Harris waived off her attack of Joe Biden being racist as "It was a debate!"

Lol!
That’s the leash of my concerns...
That’s the good thing about Trump...NO ONE can put him on a leash.
Dud you notice what Trump did for our country during his administration?
Gas down
Oil and Nat Gas production up
Energy independant.
No wars
No military killed for over a year.
Leashed China
Leashed Iran, kept them broke
Leashed Russia, kept them broke
Leashed Little Rocket man
Leashed Hillary
Leashed Schiff
Leashed Pelosi
Even though they tried.
Biden cut the leashes, and you want to leash Trump?
I’m not mad, at all.
You’re just wrong.
Does that make you mad?
