DeSantis is a wonderful conservative and is to the right of Trump on most things. I wish things had turned out differently during this year with him and they he could run a national campaign better. Even Trump absolutists should admit that he’s viable for 2028 at the very least.

I agree with Penn that DeSantis had a good night. My only issue is agreeing with you that Sean did well as a moderator. No can do my friend. They were taking over one another and Sean lost control when he didn’t insist on getting his questions answered.
Horrible start! Newsom dodged the first question. DeSantis confronted him on it; Hannity confronted him, but then did not make him answer. I ditched out at about 9:04 pm ET, and saved myself the aggravation of wanting to throw something at the TV. Hannity was an idiot, and I couldn’t see him improving after that.
It’s 5 years too early to tell for sure. He’s just not ‘slick’ enough to win a national election, sadly.
But his record, performance, and stances are better than about anyone.
He’s a case where the right wants a slick willy over the real deal.
I am Trump 2024 and have criticized DeSantis many times, but Ron destroyed Grusom and I think helped Trump in an indirect way.

Greasy Gavin body language was that of nervousness, really it was. It was actually a very bad performance and I think this might have ended his presidency aspirations
It’s been a good few days for conservatives and anti-woke. Elon telling Disney off and now this.
Trump seems to appeal more to those susceptible to, say, a gambling addiction. Flashy bright lights and possible big wins. DeSantis would appeal more to someone that likes Buckley, more slow and thought out, not brash.
They both have their places. I just hate seeing people crap on DeSantis because he is a truly good man with good ideals.
