A 94-year-old US Army veteran is blasting his Staten Island assisted living home for kicking him out to make room for migrants — saying it’s “not fair” that he was sent packing.
Frank Tammaro was given less than two months’ notice that he and 53 other seniors would have to move out of Island Shores Residences in March, and had to make other living arrangements.
“I felt horrible,” Tammaro, a lifelong New Yorker, told Fox News. “It’s no joke getting thrown out of a house.”
He then moved into another facility, but after he fell, he and his daughter Barbara Annunziata, decided it would be best for him to move in with her and her children.
It was in her care that the family discovered that Island Shores was being converted into migrant housing — and would not reopen as another assisted living facility as they were promised.
“I don’t understand it at all,” Annunziata said. “It’s not fair to anybody.
“These migrants, they’re getting everything. They’re getting everything and I can’t get nothing for [Tammaro],” she said, adding that she has been having trouble getting insurance to pay for a home health aide.
“Meanwhile, [migrants] get everything. And he’s not entitled to anything.”

American citizens sleep on the street, while illegal aliens get free rooms
Unbelievable
GRRRRRRRRRR!...........................
So much for trying to debunk the “displacement theory”, proof it is real right here.
Who did you vote for, Barbara?

The Great Replacement is in full swing.
New Yorkers don’t have to work very hard to reinforce their reputation as whining losers.
This guy was one of 50+ people who were moved out of the nursing home back in March when the ownership changed. And now it’s not re-opening as a nursing home. Cry me a river. The family can grow up, lose that pathetic entitlement mentality, and find another nursing home. Or not.
it is amazing that criminals in jail and illegal aliens seem to have more rights than actual American citizens.
This is how "your country" ('our democracy'™) rewards you for your service.
Sounds an awful lot like Felony Senior Abuse to me.
“Army vet, 94, kicked out of NYC nursing home to make room for migrants”
If only there was a competent political party that could use this OUTRAGE to its political advantage.
Inexcusable but the nursing home was probably such a shitshow that if they kicked him out in favour of a deep-pocket customer (government using your money) willing to guarantee full occupancy then he’s better off almost anywhere else.
Sorry if there are no viable alternatives in your country, in which case his situation is doubly tragic.
You too can attain limitless free housing, food, clothing, transportation, and limitless spending privileges. Simply leave the country and walk across the border into the country speaking any language other than English.
They’ll keep it in an even worse shape because they’re racing to the bottom. The first staff they cut were the caregivers who, if qualified, soon discovered that Island Shores was exploiting them after they find out how much in demand they really are everywhere else. Most of the good ones probably only stayed because they genuinely cared about their patients who couldn’t afford anything better.
Good question.
Worst-case scenario is that between friends, family, Code of Vets and other veterans’ groups will crowdfund him into a much better facility.
And no, I didn’t need to read the article to know that there was probably a LOT more to the story; I was largely speculating with my previous post based on what little I knew with my sole source being a disabled veteran in Augusta, Georgia whom I first met in 1997 and have since maintained regular contact. He has plenty of VA horror stories about his own experience dealing with them but just found another organization that will pay for first-class outpatient care outside the VA system. He was tipped off by some local friends who knew him even longer as one of the most effective grade-school science teachers in the city AFTER he had already become disabled then promptly sidelined by the US Navy.
When my mother began her last illness at age 99, I started asking for what kind of help she could get from local and state government in California. She had worked, lived and paid taxes to the state for three quarters of a century. I was politely told that her Social Security check made her ineligible for any help. To be fair, everyone I talked to expressed sympathy, but they. had to abide by the rules.
Had she sneaked across the border two months before, she would have been instantly eligible for MediCal (Cal’s version of Medicare) benefits, Food Stamps, a free phone, internet access, etc. etc.. Her illness was brief and she died before her money ran out.
But it’s important to let our replacements feel welcome.

To be sure, Biden set these 54 seniors up in one of his mansions, right? Right?
To think these seniors’ tax dollars are going to the same illegals who are living la vida at their prior address.
SMH 😒
Words fail me.
