The U.S. economy is doing even better than the government thought
CBS News (via MSN.com) ^ | 29 November 2023

Shrugging off higher interest rates, America's consumers spent enough to help drive the economy to a brisk 5.2% annual pace from July through September...The government had previously estimated that the economy grew at a 4.9% annual rate last quarter...the unemployment rate has come in below 4% for 21 straight months, the longest such streak since the 1960s..."We continue to forecast ongoing expansion in economic activity, but the pace should slow quite significantly in Q4..."

Economists continue to ignore that our population (and consumer demand) is growing about 1 million people per quarter because of Open Borders.

Most of those illegal immigrants receive ATM cash cards upon arrival, free rent or rent subsidies, Food Stamps, Medicaid, public education, and work permits. All of that government spending has to be borrowed!

Also, MSM news reports highlight the declining inflation rate, as if prices are declining.

My monthly food and rent costs continue to INCREASE - just at a slower pace.

Back in the days of incandescent lamps, a light would get brighter right before the filament burned out. Nuff said.

FedGov accountant’s CPA certification stands for “cut, Paste, and Alter”.

Everything you wrote is spot on. That said, why aren't the Republicans refuting this bs and setting the record straight?

Government economics is a joke, but conservatives should be explaining all of this to the public - in a straightforward manner with illustrations and examples.

The rate of inflation was 1.4% in 2020. In 2021, after Biden took over, it was 7%. In 2022 it was 6.5%, and in 2023 it is 3.2% - still over twice what it was in Trump's last year in office.

If people spent $100.00 on groceries in December 2020, they paid $107.00 for the same groceries in December 2021, and then $114.00 for the same groceries in December of 2022. Despite the inflation rate decreasing to 3.2% in 2023, by the end of 2023 those same groceries cost $117.65.

Fuzzy nothing. Lies all over. So spending is up 5% while costs increase 100% which tells me things are actually down 95%. 100K jobs created with 70K of the jobs were guberment jobs which produce nothing. Cash flows only because the guberment is printing fake money.
What will happen when people max out their cards and start failing to make payments plus have to quit spending on groceries houses, cars etc?

The Republicans are worried that if they speak up, it might hurt Biden's chances of re-election.

On top of that, most Republicans care only about their own hides. Increasing their power in DC and getting reelected is the name of the game.

They don't care about the country.

Once they get to DC, they're in the BIG game and playing the game is all that matters.

That’s the best way to make it easily understood.

The modern economic engine is bigger than just the government. After all, government leaders come and go.

The Great Depression lasted (and lasted) so long because we as humans were not in a period of rapid technological development. We were just in a giant slump.

That's not the case today.

We are in a period of rapid development. And the economy reflects that.

As an aside, Joe and team know nothing of this. Their decisions have made life difficult for many people...but the underlying economic engine is still growing (though not as fast as it would under a free-market capitalist like Trump).

Read this article from CBSnews yesterday, where they said Americans need $11,400 more per year to pay for basics, due to Bidenomics. They also said inflation has been 17% since 2021:

That said, why aren't the Republicans refuting this bs and setting the record straight?

Because the majority of them in office are RINO traitors who don't want to do anything to help Trump in 2024.

People have lots of money. I deliver their packages. Yesterday was a weight bench, 2 instapots, 2 bedframes, a vacuum, Huand a mattress plus hundreds of other items in Amazon packages. Those are just the ones I could remember.
I have a customer that is furnishing her whole house though Amazon.
I see free stuff alongside the road. Some of it nice enough to resell but people don’t want the hassle to make $500 bucks. There’s lots of money out there. Don’t let anyone tell you differently.

America is incredibly wealthy, but if you want a medium level job it’s rough now. Most people want just that, the middle class.

Well that is kind of what I meant, maybe I used the term wrong. Things like:

“Highest gross sales ever!” Yeah, because things cost more than they ever have before.

“Employment up!” Yeah, because everyone had to get a second job to survive.

“Unemployment down!” Yeah, because you are shutting them off whether they need it or not.

Etc...
