Joe Biden had only one event scheduled on Tuesday -- to discuss the "progress" his administration was making in regard to dealing with the massive fentanyl problem.
As we reported earlier, part of the fentanyl problem is because Biden has failed to secure the border. He also didn't seem to understand China's involvement in the whole fentanyl process, lifting sanctions on a blacklisted forensics lab in exchange for Xi saying they would do more to track the flow of chemicals for fentanyl. As Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX) said, that was a bit like "thanking the arsonist."
But Biden also made another huge gaffe that had the White House rushing to clean up. During his remarks about the drug, he said he was calling on Congress to make it a "Schedule 1 drug." Doing that would cause it to be unable to be used for the legitimate medical uses it is employed for now.
Fentanyl is currently a Schedule II drug which means it can be prescribed for legitimate medical use.
Advertisement Biden administration officials clarified to The Post that he was not actually calling for a ban on fentanyl, but for Congress to make permanent a 2018 emergency action that declared fentanyl-related substances as Schedule I drugs.
The administration aides insisted to The Post that the president didn’t misspeak when he called on Congress to make fentanyl a Schedule I drug because, they said, he was thinking about illicit street fentanyl, which may or may not contain fentanyl-related substances.
White House spokeswoman Kelly Scully said, “This is exactly what he intended to say. Today’s event is specifically about illicit fentanyl not medical fentanyl.”
Fentanyl-related substances have slightly different chemical compositions than fentanyl itself, which in the past allowed traffickers to avoid penalties.
"This is exactly what he intended to say" -- but didn't -- even though he was reading directly from notes. He still couldn't get it right. Nice try, guys, but we're not buying that one.
Once Biden was done with his fentanyl event, then he was off to the plane, bound for Nantucket, for still more days of vacation. He's staying again at billionaire private equity tycoon David Rubenstein's estate. He preaches about the billionaires and then does all he can to hang out at their estates on his vacations.
Advertisement Biden looks so old going up the steps to the plane, especially compared to Jill who has no problem going up and just leaves him in the dust.
His schedule for the vacation is basically empty. If you are just dialing in your job, and take 40 percent of the time on vacation, why would anyone retain you for that job?

Just to be clear — I make no statement related to how cannabis “should” be legal. I think it generally messes people up and contributes to an existing nationwide problem with mental illness. My comment is really an observation that the Democrats seem cynical enough to overturn federal laws on cannabis just to get votes and they wouldn’t spent two seconds worrying about any consequences for the people of America.
I will also observe that in states that have legalized cannabis, there is still a thriving black market and the crooks are still making money from cannabis and (I bet) the politicians are still getting kickbacks from illegal cannabis growers. For politicians, it’s the best of both worlds: tax revenue from legal cannabis, and under-the-table War On Drugs money because the crooks are still in business.

But some say the restoration at the presidential homes has recast the presidents as sinister racists while downplaying their accomplishments...
But a quick dive into Rubenstein’s backstory shows he’s not so pure himself. He made his initial fortune in the 1980s by exploiting a tax loophole in Alaska allowing him to profit from deals made with Natives — and the Rubenstein family has been expanding their influence in the 49th state ever since.
In 2014, Rubenstein’s then-wife helped elect a governor in Alaska who in turn opened up the state’s $80 billion Permanent Fund, a fraction of which is managed by the Carlyle Group, to special interests. Rubenstein’s daughter was appointed to the board of that fund last month.
“Here’s a guy who has taken advantage of other people to climb to the top while he expects perfection from the Founding Fathers,” Dan Fagan, a talk show host and journalist who covered Alaska for 25 years, told The Post. “Because of the Rubenstein family and how [his ex-wife] influenced the change in the state’s sovereign fund, the average Alaskan family has lost tens of thousands of dollars.”

I have a sister suffering from cancer that’s on a fentanyl patch for pain management right now as we speak. I’m no pharmacist, but my understanding is that the type used for medical purposes differs quite a bit from the street drug variety.
For this diaper-wrapped, demented moron to suggest killing the medical use is appalling. Maybe karma will have him needing it someday and not be able to get it.

Well you are right Biden could not make it through a real estate closing yet there he is signing documents that effect the entire world.
