Chilling video shows the moment a crazed neighbor executed a father and his stepson in cold blood in a Brooklyn apartment hallway during an argument over noise Sunday night.
The distressing footage obtained by The Post opens with a man dressed in all black pacing angrily outside his upstairs neighbors’ apartment on the fourth floor of 1418 Brooklyn Ave. in a well-known East Flatbush housing complex where stars Barbra Streisand and Michael K. Williams grew up.
A woman emerges from the apartment and exchanges words with the neighbor, who was identified by cops Tuesday as Jason Pass, 47.
A short time later, the woman is joined by her son, identified by cops as 27-year-old Chinwai Mode. The video has no audio, so it is unknown what was said during the exchange.
Moments later, Mode’s stepfather, 47-year-old school bus driver Bladimy Mathurin, marches out of the apartment brandishing a pair of scissors and angrily confronts the neighbor, the video shows.
His wife tries to drag him away, but the bodybuilder dad of four pushes her back.
At that moment, the verbal dispute takes a harrowing turn when the neighbor in black pulls out a handgun and aims it at Mathurin.
Mathurin spots the gun but waves it off. He turns around and begins walking toward his apartment, at which point the neighbor opens fire and strikes Mathurin, who falls to the floor.
Mode, who was also in the hallway, tries to get away from the gunman, but the neighbor fires multiple shots at him, including at least twice after he had collapsed in a pool of his own blood next to a staircase.
The suspect then returns to Mathurin, who is still alive and struggling to get up, and shoots him execution-style on his own doorstep.

I wouldn’t have let the guy with the scissors get that close to me ...
A certain segment of the population seems to have problems with self control issues.
Elon has deleted that video, at least for now.
Video has been removed.
That’s what I was thinking. If he had of shot him when he was a foot away, then def. 100% self defense and justified.
If the guy said he was going to get a gun or a knife, then justified. If he was retreating, then different story.
A success of diversity
I agree about the scissors
"There's video."
"OK, how about a plea bargain?"
Having actually been forced to sell and move out of a condo because of a neighbor who made so much noise we couldn’t stand it (and neither the cops nor the condo board would do anything), I have considerable sympathy for the shooter.
The combined IQ is that hallway was under 100. F-ing moron sticks a scissors in the dude’s face. Unreal the people we are importing into this country.
The shooters claim of self-defense (or any other justification claim) went out the door when he went downstairs.
Self-defense only works when we have fight outside my house. When we have a fight outside your house the burden of proof is going to be on me to explain why I am not back at home.
Regardless of other circumstances, the resident is hardly ever going to be seen as he initiator of conflict.
It seems like many people no longer have the intellectual and/or emotional capability to resolve differences non-violently.
I wonder … if … it has anything to do with “educational” (actually, indoctrinational) system. And maybe, abandonment of Judaeo-Christian morality.
There is an appalling disregard for the legitimate interests related to civilized society.
In its place we see unhealthy interest in perversion and subversion.
And the possession of guns in all the numerous gun-free areas? How can the liberals and criminals even face the cameras?
Where is the rest of the video? It says warning graphic, but nothing on the video was graphic.
Very odd.
“It seems like many people no longer have the intellectual and/or emotional capability to resolve differences non-violently.”
We have trained a group of people to be protective of their rights and not be disrespected. The concept of competing rights does not exist.
Do I have to be the one to say it? Never bring scissors to a gun fight!
Loud confrontations are poor people problems that never end well.
I think it turned harrowing when the guy pulled out the scissors, which are certainly deadly in close.
The shooter should have stopped with brandishing the gun, because the potential scissors killer was exiting, as expected.
Should have been the end right there.
I loved Michael K Williams…was a great actor .
…..
Moral of the story
Never bring scissors to a gun fight.
