WASHINGTON, Oct 16 (Reuters) - Hardline Republican Jim Jordan picked up support for his campaign to lead the U.S. House of Representatives on Monday as he aimed to bulldoze opposition within his own party by applying pressure in a series of public votes.
Several of Jordan's fellow Republicans said they would support his bid for House Speaker, whittling down his opposition from the 55 lawmakers who had voted against endorsing on Friday. It was unclear whether he would be able to unite his party enough to prevail in a floor vote expected on Tuesday.
"I feel real good about the momentum we have," Jordan told reporters. "We're going to elect a speaker tomorrow."

Basic budgets should be fashioned to keep the government operating.
Supplemental budgets should be used for special projects and for things not clearly necessary at first.
Trying to get the government funded by one big bill allows too much waste to creep in and it requires too much effort and causes too much stress.

Exactly but that is what the DEEP STATE wants. It gives them more control and takes away yours and your elected representative control.
I’m always amused, sort of, by their adjectives. A politician with even vaguely common sense attitudes is “hardline”.
But Hard Like Pelosi and Hakeem Jeffries are perfectly fine for Al Reuters.
They are throwing out the batteries on their own megaphone. How dumb is their audience? Pretty dumb, no thanks to Dewey.
