Jim Jordan has been officially nominated as the Republican’s choice for Speaker, beating out Steve Scalise ally Austin Scott of Georgia.

Heard it’s McHenry who is cutting deal with Democrats and promising everything they want.
Buncha lazy, over bought, B@$t@rd$.
Democrats are united to elect a democrat as speaker of the house... attacking Jordan as a united front declaring Jordan a threat to democracy and the united states.... Republicans must stick together on this issue... do it you few attention whores and vote for and put Jordan in a speaker for the good of the country.
Hmm....if he is elected, wonder what happens to the Judicial Committee?
Ahhh Lizzie is going to be upset
Have the 81 agreed to support him on a floor vote?
Yep, I’m hearing Jordan is about 55 votes short.
Damn the Democrats and their tired “threat to our ‘democracy’” crap they throw against anybody who stands for true American values.
Works for me.
don’t you DARE come on here and cipher like that!
LOL
I’m hearing the vote is Monday. (Newsmax.)
I hated that POS from day 1. Put himself out there as some sort of economic whiz kid despite his only job was driving a weiner truck.
“Great news.. I hear that even McCarthy voted for Jordan”
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Maybe with a vocal endorsement by McCarthy to sway the assistant Democrats, Jordan could muster up the 218 needed
I truly cannot imagine this caucus getting to 217 with Jordan or with anyone else. The big split will be over Ukraine where Republicans are divided down the middle. RINO or hard core, there will be no middle ground that is a satisfactory compromise for the outliers on either side.
I’m predicting a hung caucus which will lead to “moderates” approaching the Dems for a power-sharing scheme.
While they hash this out, Patty Murray moves up to second in the line of succession to POTUS.
Gaetz is a ROCK STAR! too bad you’re a flaming lefty or you would know that too
Jim Jordan won the nomination with just 124 votes.
He will need most of the GOP who voted against him to vote for him with the vote goes to the floor of the house.
He will have to work his ass off this weekend trying to vote what it will take to get the 217 votes he needs, which I do not think will come from any Dims.
“..wonder what happens to the Judicial Committee...”
Maybe it would be unleashed?
McHenry should do it the way democrats do. Promise them anything and give them nothing.
Their side hates it when We the People get OUR choice. See also: Donald Trump.
