I left the Med from Rome on the day the Yom Kippur War started in ‘73. My submarine was in for a three week upkeep, but when they sent me back to Naples after two weeks, it was gone, although the USA “was not responding to the situation.” Spent the rest of the “war” in Naples at SUBGRU 8, and a week at sea on an aircraft carrier as submarine liaison officer. It is hard to believe that that was 50 years ago.

A missile can come screaming out of nowhere, and we’d have no clear idea who ordered it. Hell, it could come from Israel in a false-flag attempt to drag us into the conflict.
If Trump were in charge, cooler heads would prevail. But with Biden, literally anything is possible. Anything.
The US knows they cannot risk escalation with Russia.So the Deep State is returning to "Old Reliable" -- War in the Middle East.
An interesting question is, why didn't the Mossad warn of this? And why did Israel withdraw IDF personnel from the area a couple of days ago? (Reminiscent of Pearl Harbor.)
