This is the shocking moment a 21-year-old YouTuber prankster's stunt went badly wrong when a deliver driver he was targeting pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest.
Video shows Tanner Cook, 21, who runs the Classified Goons YouTube channel, harassing Alan Colie as he picked up a food order at the Dulles Town Center mall in Sterling, Virginia, on April 2.
Cook can be seen following Colie around the mall while thrusting his phone in his face as it plays the bizarre phrase, 'Hey dips**t, quit thinking about my twinkle' multiple times using a Google Translate app.
Colie backs away from Cook and tells him to stop three times before trying to knock the phone away from his face as the YouTuber continues to advance towards him.
It was at this point that Colie's stunt went badly wrong when the delivery driver pulled out a gun and shot the YouTuber in the lower left chest.
The shooting sparked panic as shoppers fled what they feared to be a mass shooting as police officers pinned Colie to the ground and arrested him. He was charged with aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and discharging a firearm inside a building.
But last week, Colie, who has a license to carry a concealed weapon, was found not guilty of aggravated malicious wounding in the shooting after he said he was acting in self defense.
He was found guilty on a lesser charge of shooting into an occupied dwelling but a judge will hear arguments to set aside this conviction at a hearing next month after his lawyer appealed against it. If found guilty of this lesser firearms count, he faces up to 10 years in prison.

Too bad he wasn’t removed from the gene pool. He certainly deserves to be.
And it didn't involve an amorous pursuit, nor an annoying salesman -scenarios you introduced (and where the intent of the perp was a given).
In any of the cases, it is the perspective of the victim (who does not have psychic abilities) that is important. Just because a situation doesn't frighten you, doesn't mean the same for others.
When someone tells you to stay away, you stay away. If someone is disturbed enough by another's behavior to be so warned yet they continue to close in, they risk the fight/flight response which may get them killed.
To me, these two idiots clearly were trying to be funny. I would've kept walking, just as the delivery guy did. He was walking away, but then turned and shot the prankster who kept following him with the phone. Again, I have no sympathy for these pranksters, but we'll have to agree to disagree on whether it was self-defense or not. The jury sided with you.
Next time… double tap.
I don’t blame you for thinking how you think, but when I see the twitter video you linked, it’s only potentially funny from a distance to me.
Imagining the scene’s point of view from the vic’s position, and given the rather serious and pissed off look on the perps face, I can’t reach that conclusion. If they were smiling and laughing while doing it it would indeed seem more like a bunch of punk kids just being obnoxious, and I’d have a different opinion.
