Why? He failed. He did EOs instead of negotiating permanent successes like DeSantis is doing in Florida.

You mean with a hostile Congress who created the Russia hoax and then persecuted him for it for the crime of beating Hillary Clinton in the election?

Trump promised a wall, even said Mexico would pay. We got 52 miles of new wall, and another 450 updated.

Remember how Congress refused to appropriate money to build the wall, so Trump declared an emergency at the border and then diverted defense funds to build the wall? Remember how the Democrats went to court to block Trump's money diversion, stalling yet again the wall project? Remember how eventually SCOTUS ruled in Trump's favor, finally letting him begin to build the wall?

He didn’t deport illegals, we have more. And I could go on and on.

Remember when Trump tried to end the DACA ("dreamers" Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals act) but SCOTUS blocked it?

You gloss over so much of what really happened when you make flippant comments like that. Was it your intent that people forget the details and assume your shippets of the facts?

I'd put Pence at the bottom of the list.

Ramaswamy made some interesting points, enough to shake up conventional thought no matter how practical or impractical they were.

Pence said a lot of words but had little substance to them other than being in the sidecar with Trump. Pence substituted platitudes for actions.

vattel was 1749 and I believe Jefferson was familiar with the French writer.

The nationality of the father is common in many countries and goes back to Roman and Greek times IIRC.

Why would the founders want the son of a British citizen to be commander in chief especially after two wars? I think the letter between Washington and Jay puts your argument to rest.

What we need is for the USSC to grow a pair and issue a ruling.

Respectfully, how do you envision a different outcome if DJT is re-elected in 2024?

It’s just so beyond comical…

Everyone with a working frontal lobe knows, short of something massive happening (and that massive happening if it does happen will have nothing to do with the clowns who were in that stage) that Trump is the Republican nominee.. but after sitting through the laughable “debate” that has no impact on the race, to then spend hours talking about the “debate” that just happened like to has so much significance

In Europe in the 18th century and prior, people stayed in their own countries. Families assumed positions in society and the jobs descended from one generation to the next.

Have you wondered why most common English surnames are jobs? Baker, Cook, Cooper, Smith, Butcher, Fletcher, Butler, Fisher, Gardener, Hunter, just to name a few examples.

And then there is the suffix -son to a name, like Johnson - son of John.

These come from cultures (like early monarchies) where the people were subjects and families filled a place in society. A village only needed one smith, and the son of Smith became the next smith, and so on and on.

In the United States, our Founders came from these places (or their parents did), but they wanted a nation of laws and not of men (Kings). Citizens were descended from citizens, not from the land. That meant that foreigners were welcome, but they had to become citizens (naturalized) first, and then their children who were born would be born from citizens, too, making them natural born citizens while their parents are not.

So it's not that foreigners can never have children who are natural born citizens (or Trump would never be a citizen since his mother was born in Scotland), but once they become a citizen their future children become natural born citizens.

In a short answer, two ways:

  1. He won't be so naive this time. He won't rely on people like Reince Priebus to fill out his first Cabinet with DC insiders. He knows how DC operates now.
  2. He won't have such a weak Attorney General this time. I expect the first order of business will be to fire all the US Prosecutors (like all administrations do), and reform the FBI leadership.
Trump's first hurdle will be getting the Senate to confirm his nominees. The Democrats will do to Trump what they did to Bush in 2000, slow walking all of his nominations in order to cripple his administration until something like 9/11 kicks them in the behind.

One way that Trump could poke the Democrats in the eye is if soon after he takes office Clarence Thomas announces his retirement and gives Trump an immediate Supreme Court nomination.

Don’t need proof for obvious history of all career politicians like DeSantis. Trump is the only chance to change destruction of USA.

But DeSantis is slightly better than other career politicians.

Because it's "easy" entertainment for the so called news people and commentators. You don't have to lift a finger, you don't have to do much research, you just talk nonsense and get paid for it.

I hate these so called "debates". The first question was 20 minutes long, sheesh. Take 5-7 big topics, go from left to right, each person gets 3 minutes to say whatever they want on the topic. Let's se if they can actually think and speak. The specific questions are ridiculous. NO moderators, all mics are off except the person speaking for 3 minutes.

Trump already learned how to go around the whole senate approval thing by appointing people “temporarily” without confirmation. He did it almost exclusively near the end of his term.

“vattel was 1749 and I believe Jefferson was familiar with the French writer.”

As I pointed out, a TRANSLATION of Vattel done AFTER the US Constitution inserted “natural born citizen” as the translation for “indigenes” - a word that has the same meaning in French and English.

“Natural Born Citizen” and “Indigenous” are not remotely the same terms legally and never were. Yet it was the bad translation that caused Vattel to be linked to NBC. IN that section, Vttel was making no attempt to discuss either the British “Natural Born Subject” or the Americanized “Natural Born Citizen”.

In French, it read, “Les Naturels ou indigènes font ceux qui font nés dans le pays de Parens Citoyens.”

All translations done before the Constitution translated it “The natives, or indigenes...” - a correct and even literal translation.

vattel wrote this definition in 1749 2 citizen parents and on native soil. Hardly writing with the US in mind.

Aa I said before most countries recognized as citizens the nationality of the father or both parents. Either way the list I posted is unqualified to run.

and who advocated and supported radical islam.

I have said we need a USSC decision. What more can I say?

the issue isn’t where trumps mother was born the issue is was she a citizen when he was born?

The first part of this post is irrelevant and commonly known.

I have been here done this before. Best wishes.

I couldn’t hear half of it or even keep track of the questions, with people talking over each other and going on about stuff that had nothing to do with the question.

It looked like a ‘My dick is bigger’ fest, not anything serious or respectful of the public who invested so much time watching it.
