Democrats keep winning special elections in battleground states
the Hill ^ | 09/20/23 | DENNIS AFTERGUT

Elections are the answer to Trumpism, which aims to undermine the Constitution that protects our freedoms.

Yesterday, we saw the antidote at work once again, and in battleground states, in special elections for state House seats in New Hampshire and Pennsylvania. Both victories were consistent with a 2023 national trend, with abortion-rights Democrats overperforming in the wake of the 2022 Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that legalized abortion nationally.

Screed written by Dennis Aftergut, who has no problems sharing bylines with Laurence Tribe.

Unfortunately, women make up the majority of pro-choice voting. I think the real problem is the 19th amendment.

Overwhelming number of counties in country are majority republican. It is actually just as easy for GOP to steal in those counties.

So if they win every election and everybody loves them, why do they censor everyone in sight and prosecute their enemies?

This is just the eighth grade loser who beats up third graders bragging about it.

As best as I can tell, she’s trying to make the GOP go the way of the Whig party. And she’s not alone. She has plenty of GOPe help.

A friend of mine recently predicted that in 25 years or so, the Democrats will be in the permanent majority. So a voter would only be able to influence elections by voting in the Democrat primary. A GOP candidate might occasionally win a governorship or a seat in Congress. But that’s about it. It won’t be near enough to influence events.

Depressing stuff. But thanks to D cheating and GOPe inaction, I really can’t argue against it.

The question that ought to be asked is, why aren’t Republicans acting to reverse the steal? and the answer is, they were in on it during 2020 so they all (save a very few exceptions) approve of it, i.e. on behalf of the left because the Republicans are part of the left.

Too many republicans still think they live in yesterday’s America where corruption was bad regardless of who participates in it.

I agree. The GOPe might mildly disapprove of today’s radical Democrat policies. But they really, really hate Trump’s America-first popularism.

So 3/4 of the GOPe was content to just sit and watch the 2020 steal. The other 1/4 actively helped out. That’s the way I see it, anyway. And I don’t think I’m all that wrong.

If supporting the sacrificing innocent children on the altar of Molech is the price of saving the republic, then it isn’t worth saving.

Amen.

If steal is that easy, why republicans cannot learn it?

Because republicans can't and don't do things lije put drop boxes in McDonalds funded by Facebook and turn the entire legal system against anyone who tries to clean it up. They also don't control the communist media.

The GOP also doesn't control the handful of urban shitholes that harvests the needed votes while America sleeps.

You need that expalined to you by others - can't figure it out for yourself?
