Buffett made great music. He didn’t shove his liberal politics down our throats like other celebrities.

Understandable that you didn’t locate the first thread during search. The original thread misspelled “Buffett” in the title.

Total Jimmy fan. Best party concerts! We used to start our vacation in October or November every year with a Jimmy concert in SoCal. Then off to some tropical locale. My license plate is 40+pir8. He was a great storyteller through his music.

Were you in Cincinnati when he would sell out five shows at Riverbend and people would still be going crazy trying to get tickets?
I would go to multiple shows, but not having a Hawaiian shirt, I would wear a scuba mask.
To his memory

He made me love the sea LONG before we bought the sailboat and went cruising.
Watched him play Savannah on Youtube Live last year. He once said he would never play Savannah again after the 80s, and, made a great return. He was also still sailing down the coast and I hoped he would stop here in the Treasure Coast for a bit.

We attended a Beach Boys concert on the Mall in DC on July 4.
The crowd literally covered all the mall. I thought we would never be able to leave the Metro was so crowded.
It was the last such concert. The crowd was so vast, it was completely unmanageable

I have a personal Jimmy story. Hubby built a miniature naval cannon that worked with black powder. He contacted someone in Jimmy’s organization and Jimmy called us. Gave him his address and we shipped it to him. Then we heard him on an interview talking about how he and Cameron loaded it up and was firing it off. Someone called the police and they came out. Nope, didn’t hear or see a thing! Lol then the next concert in SoCal we got invited to sit down front and he acknowledged us with a nod and a laugh.

Awww RIP. Memory lane;
I got to work on a few of his shows back in the day. One in particular stands out. Mile High Stadium, Denver, CO June 16, 1985, it was Father's Day. It was called "A Salute to Dad". The entire Denver Symphony Orchestra played back up. The stadium was jam-packed. The field was general seating, no chairs. Huge beach balls and a giant shark were being batted around the entire time. It was a lot of fun. His shows were a good time.

I met him in Key West. He was very personable but he was more interested in the Blonde Stranger next to him.

He was married to the same woman since 1977, apparently happily. No need to sully his memory with such speculation.
