Schumer to blame House Republicans for any government shutdown
The Hill ^ | 09/01/2023 | NICK ROBERTSON

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said in a letter to his Democratic colleagues Thursday that a potential government shutdown later this month would be the fault of “political games” by House Republicans.

“When the Senate returns next week, our focus will be on funding the government and preventing House Republican extremists from forcing a government shutdown,” Schumer wrote in the letter, first reported by Politico. House Republicans have threatened a shutdown when the federal budget runs out Sept. 30 unless they get the budget cuts they want. Schumer vowed to pass bipartisan appropriations bills and urged the House to follow suit.

“The only way to avoid a shutdown is through bipartisanship, so I have urged House Republican leadership to follow the Senate’s lead and pass bipartisan appropriations bills,” he said.

That self righteous windbag is still around? That’s the problem right there.

Here is a list of both parties’ leaders on our side in DC:

Uh, be back later. Can’t think of one right now.

The RATS use the same excuse every time to blame the Republicans for their RAT screwups. The ignorant public buys it every time.

And the media, since they tend to be the public relations arm of the Democrats, will dutifully report that Republicans are to blame.

Conservatives: Let's sit down and work something out that we can both agree on.
Commies: Vote for our bill or we will blame you for everything.

Except that it’s now an act of terrorism if you move the temporary barriers around, say, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, or any of the various sites they shut down to punish the little people.

Nothing to fund.

You have plenty of operating cash flow.

The U.S. government has collected $3.69 trillion in fiscal year 2023.

Time for the GOP and McCarthy to grow a pair. If they can’t make the case for uncontrolled spending by the Democrats, they deserve to lose their jobs...all of them!!

McCarthy should have a press conference saying, “the house voted on a budget. It passed and has been sent to the senate. The House of Representatives did their job. Now will the senate please do yours?”

Federal Outlays Federal $5.302T. deficit FY2023 July deficit $1.613. (Two months to go)
No one cares as long as the .gov doles out the cash.
Dems are already campaigning on Republicans’ cutting SS and Medicare.
Enjoy the decline.

“..It will worlk People are stupid...”

Maybe not so stupid. I think people are fed-up with the government. It’s too big, too expensive and people are now realizing it more and more.

Shut it down until the cuts are made and I’ll betcha most people will support the action.

An if they cave and give them all they want, people will be very unhappy and vote the cowards out.
