Video showing what appears to be the trail of an anti-aircraft missile, as a business plane allegedly carrying Wagner chief Yegveny Prigozhin falls from the sky.
There is no still no official confirmation if Prigozhin was on the plane, where he was listed as a passenger.

My Russian wife (from the Ukrainian Donbas) thinks Putin is behind this.
She also thinks that Wagner has acquired a nuclear weapon is is going to pop it off within Russia. This will result in Russia nuking Ukraine and Lord knows who else.
She gets all her news from various Russian social media sites.

Just watched the shoot down and crash on Alarma TV about 35 minutes ago.
Prigozhin is at his 25,000 acre ranch in Argentina.

Pics of the plane wreckage clearly show damage (many punctures inward) consistent with a proximity “hit” by a SAM, most likely a S-300 or S-400.

The plane was very deep into Russia (and Belorussia) for it to be any known western SAM. And it was too high to have been a manpad, ruling out Ukrainian agents.
And also too far into Russia to be any western AAM from a fighter. Or maybe stealthy US aircraft are way stealthier than we think?
This war is much more likely to end loudly than quietly. Too much at stake for Russia and globohomo. It’s 78 years in the making.

Putin could have killed him in so many silent ways. If this was Putin’s doing I must assume the public downing of this aircraft was a message to all, “Oppose me and I will kill you in public or in the dark of the night.”
BTW, multiple sources indicate the occupants of the 2nd plane were arrested when it returned to Moscow. So, this looks to be an attempt to thoroughly decapitate Wagner.
However, Wagner had a very “dispersed” sort of organization. It will certainly be interesting to see how this plays out.
I can’t see that last. Biden has been exceedingly risk averse up to this point.
That said, if we have planes that stealthy, Russia should just surrender now. /s
It’d be interesting if pics of pieces of the missile used turn up outside of Russian gov’t control. I was a bit surprised to see those close ups of pieces of the plane, but maybe whoever gave the order doesn’t give a s***, or maybe there was just too much ground to cover.
P.S. Might be “missiles”. Two loud bangs were heard B4 the plane started coming down. 2nd plane might have gotten lucky, too.

It'll take about 45 minutes for every concern we've ever had to be replaced by much more immediate and dire concerns.
A little while ago I heard a comment on one of the foreign public TV shows regarding the fact it appears this plane was shot down by the Russian Military. The commenter, who spoke with an accent, said that Putin does not ordinarily use the Military for extrajudicial murders. That the Russian people will be rather upset if it appears he has done that. Later another foreign commenter said at this time we don’t know if Prigozhin was ON the plane, or if he was alive if he was on the plane, etc.
One comment at this post mentions punctures on the plane that seem to go from outside to inside. An earlier report mentioned one wing was gone as the plane fell. It seems this happened too far into Russia and too high in altitude to have been Ukraine or US causing it. Apparently it was owned by Prigozhin, and there were 7 passengers and 3 crew all dead. Also a second plane was also said to have taken off at the same time and was nearby and going in the same direction, toward St. Petersburg which was Prigozhin’s headquarters. Many details yet to be outlined and answered.
Personally I would not be surprised if Prigo was still alive. They tried to kill Alexandr Dugin and got his daughter insteqad, who?? If shot by Russia Military was it Putin, or Shoigu, or other interested parties?

Now we need the ntsb to make a video of it explaining how it happened, a magic zoom climb, and other theatrical embellishments.
