A new I&I/TIPP primary election poll reveals that former President Trump still holds a large lead among Republican voters even after three indictments.

TIPP Poll: Trump holds 45-point lead for Republican Nomination

• Trump — 57% (+2 from June)
• DeSantis — 12% (-7)
• Ramaswamy — 8% (+6)
• Pence — 5% (-1)
• Haley — 4% (-1)
• Scott — 2% (-1)

With the upcoming primary elections next year, poll numbers are being closely watched to see who will win the GOP nomination for the general election. Recent polling shows that former President Trump is leading the polls by 45 points, giving him a 57 percent hold.

“Our latest national online poll, taken from Aug. 2-4, included a total 1,253 registered voters. Among those polled were 529 Republicans or independents who lean Republican. The margin of error is +/-4.3 percentages points. Among that group, 57% said they would support Trump for president,” stated Issues & Insight.

Even after the news of his third indictment this month, which some thought would affect his poll numbers, Trump seems to be still currying favor among Republican voters due to the fact that he has gained two points since June.

“That compares to 53% in July and 55% in June. So, if anything, Trump’s party support is strengthening, not weakening,” continued Issues & Insight.

According to previous data from Issues & Insight, many American voters seem skeptical of Trump’s charges, with 39 percent describing them as “exaggerated” or “harassment.” While the poll numbers also indicated that Trump had gained more traction, Florida Governor DeSantis has dropped by seven points, bringing him down to 12 percent.

“Moreover, Trump’s main rival, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, appears to be losing steam. Some 12% of GOP voters in August said they would vote for DeSantis, down from 14% in July and 19% in June,” Issues & Insight reported.

Notably, the only other candidate that seems to be picking up favor among voters is Vivek Ramaswamy. The I&I/TIPP polls indicate that he is now holding eight percent this month, which is a large jump from his previous two percent hold in June.

BTW, the only reason deswampus was elected gov. in the first place is because “fat Donnie” (as you refer to him) endorsed “remorse ronny”.

but without fat Donnies endorsement ever again, desantimoneus will never again be elected to any significant office. Just ask Liz Cheney. And neither will the vast majority of Trump supporters EVER again stand behind the very ONE who stabbed “fat Donnie” in the back after begging for his endorsement for current office.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

No.

There is no best bet. MAGA is the fundamental declaration that if someone is well known from a career in politics, then they are FUNDAMENTALLY DISQUALIFIED.

This is about erasure of elites. There Are No Policies. There is no fallback position. There is no going back.
DeSantis was born too late. He could have competed in the 1990s. Trump is the focal reality now. He has brought populism to the forefront and populism means . . . if you have a career in politics, you are disqualified.

This is absolutism. There are no shades of gray. There is no spectrum of better or worse. Destruction of the GOPe, or total failure. Accept it. There are no other choices.

BTW, if Trump isn’t reelected, who will pardon desanctimoneus for the charges that will soon be leveled against him?

If they succeed in railroading Trump who is innocent, then any other R candidate who steps in will get the same. Stop deluding yourselves that sacrificing Trump on the alter of media gaslighting will somehow return things to the relative comity of the Reagan/Tip O'Neil days.

Once the demoncraps pull this trigger, there is no going back. Our Republic will be at full banana, and not only will RDS never save us, neither he nor any other R candidate will ever be elected again.

Nobody ten years ago believed the corruption and immorality would be so pronounced as it was five years ago. And nobody five years ago would believe that the U.S. could descend so far into the cultural revolution transpiring now.

The candyass country club surrender monkey GOP isn't going to save our asses. Hell, the idiots are next on the leftists' chopping block and are oblivious.

Normalcy Bias will get you killed. (see tagline)

“DeSantis has said he would pardon Trump... If democrat thugs and goons get Trump we’ll need DeSantis to pardon him...”

DeSantis says he will pardon Trump? Single digit DeSantis? The DeSantis that ratified Biden’s so called election win? So generous, considering he has a snowball’s chance in hell of being president.

The Georgia indictments, If they stick, are not pardon-able as they are state charges not federal (as far as I have read, anyway) . Don’t see any pro-trump use in backing DeSantis. Will be interesting to see post GA indictment polls. Don’t expect they will change Trump voters much.

I’m not looking for someone who walks on water... and Republicans need to give up on that crap.

It’s democrats who decided that would be the standard for us and their butt boys in the press ran with it. All the while running men like Biden who they KNEW was an established liar and plagiarizer. The standard for democrats includes a man a set his son up to shake down corrupt countries for cash - a man who showered with his young frightened daughter. Is it any wonder his kids are drug addicts and whore mongers?

So, NO we do NOT have to have perfection.

Democrats could run Charlie Manson and their PR sexual weirdos would trick press idiots into thinking he’s the best thing since sliced bread. It’s disgusting. Don’t carry water for ‘stupid’....

We don’t need perfect to beat ‘scum of the earth’ and the liars who prop them up. And yeah, DeSantis and a few others will be able to protect Trump and that’s what matters.

One important reason to back DeSantis is he’s taken on the Sexual Weirdo Community, the groomers, the men’s groups that wants to rip off women athletes, and the people who want to sexually mutilate and sterilize children.

And in Florida he’s beaten them. That’s why the long knives are out for DeSantis.

The sexual weirdo community is going after DeSantis with everything they’ve got and their hate is over the top... and my guess is they’re a big part of the ‘deep state’...

Trump can’t only not get us out of this mess, but he got us in to this mess.

The true sign of ignorent liberals is to blame Trump for what the deep state has done. My point is that if you don't admit to being a deep state liberal, you are kidding yourself. Because you believe exactly like they do.

“You think President Sniffer is going to win?”

Might I ask where you see in that post anything about Biden, or me thinking that Biden will win?

You must have not gotten the memo. Biden will not run. The democrats are not that stupid.

“I’m not looking for someone who walks on water... and Republicans need to give up on that crap.”

Let me guess, you got that from CNN.

So, NO we do NOT have to have perfection.

No, we don’t. But we need someone who can win, like Trump, and not little single-digit DeSantis.

“And yeah, DeSantis and a few others will be able to protect Trump and that’s what matter”

And has DeSantis protected Trump yet? He won’t even come out and condemn the witch-hunts against Trump. DeSantis can’t even protect himself.

And by the way, since you are a big promoter of DeSantis, you, by your own logic, must think that DeSantis walks on water.
