The Russian rid themselves of royalty.
The Khmer Rouge changed their position numerous times and at no time were interested in eradicating the elite. That example is likely not valid.
The other two are and yielded a good result for the people. Russia likely could not have won at Stalingrad with a Tsar ignoring things in Moscow.
