Trump’s support is unchanged since Kaplan Strategies’ poll published in July, whereas DeSantis is down two points from when he and Ramaswamy were tied at twelve percent. The pair have been trending in opposite directions over the past few months, with Ramaswamy climbing and DeSantis sliding.

Former Vice President Mike Pence is on DeSantis’s heels with eight percent after doubling his support since the poll that was taken from July 17-18. From there, former Govs. Nikki Haley (R-SC) and Chris Christie (R-NJ) tie at four percent. Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) is down three points from July, garnering two percent in this poll, followed by Gov. Doug Burgum (R-ND) with one percent.

Kaplan strategies sampled 800 registered likely GOP primary voters from August 9-10, and the margin of error (MOE) is ± 3.5 percentage points.

What are you talking about?

You do realize I was one of the earliest supporters of Trump on this site?

He’s a fraud because he’s a fraud not because he isn’t in government…

Guy isn’t remotely what he claims to be… deeds and words don’t march up worth this guy at all

Comments like that make me like Free Republic less and less.

Sorry you are troubled by anyone not agreeing with your view exclusively.

Which part do you consider false:

1. That Vivek is a pagan?

2. That Vivek believes homosexuality is genetic?

Both are true.

Half of you will be dead: how long do you think your group has left? Your already the top of the age bracket.

The democrats have a lot of old voters as well, which doesn’t get talked about and is going to surprise many people as the Boomers die off.

I was studying some election data last night from my county in 2020. Its a Republican county that hasn’t supported a democrat for President since 1964.

18-34 age bracket 52% D
35-49 age bracket 54% R
50-64 age bracket 60% R

I am a fair person. I want to hear all candidates during the next 15 months of campaign. You can not possibly know about the brand new candidate we had never heard of. Reaching conclusions this early stinks of racism and prejudice, typical from failed people.

You also said desanctimonious, which is intended to stir the pot. It is not a term of endearment. So, I can see why someone had a negative reaction to what you said.

Hindus are very religious, many pray several times a day, have excellent values. I know because I met several.

We’re not voting for the head of some church. Or perhaps you are, which is what bothers me. Would you vote for a Jew?.

As for genetic gays, many of them are. I lived in SF, knew many gays. My beautiful friend’s daughter was not beautiful, looked very boyish, was clearly gay from birth. So what?

Founding does not matter. It may have been Christian at one time, but no longer. History is irrelevant to the present except as a gage to the depths the nation has fallen.

The US is now the promoting Great Whore of Babylon; it an evil and perverse place.

Joe Biden worships the Beast. This is an evil place. If we are to recover people need to see their nation for what it is. This is not, by any stretch, a Christian nation. We are an evil nation in which Christians live. We are about to be judged by God. The only message Christians should have right now is “The End is Near. Turn or Burn.” It is a message to be delivered in tears and with sorrow.

We’re not voting for the head of some church. Or perhaps you are, which is what bothers me. Would you vote for a Jew?.

Someone who is not a Jew or a Christian does not have the foundation our Constitution is built on step by step - starting with the Declaration of Independence.

Vivik, as a pagan, has an entirely different world view. Perhaps you should search on that and get up to speed? Your call.

As for genetic gays, many of them are.

Post the research of where in the genome the gay gene was located.

You will have been the first to find it. If not, you are only expressing simply an opinion.

I think we see that many people here are using varying criteria to judge different candidates running for president.

Some bring up the Vivek is not Christian and apparently we are supposed to take that as a negative. Some bring up the Vivek has a certain view of what causes homosexuality. Is someone’s view of homosexuality a key issue in this presidential campaign? Maybe to some it’s a deal breaker.

Some bring up about DeSantis being supported by Karl Rove and Paul Ryan types.

Tim Scott is described by many as a RINO.

Etc.

Everyone has their own criteria. Criteria that are deal breakers to some people on Free Republic, are not important to others on Free Republic.
