And the only cure for this is to take away their air conditioning so as to reduce the carbon footprint that causes climate change.

Ever wonder why liberals are always so unhappy? And seek to make others miserable like unto themselves?

Its amazing. I read the whole article and didn’t see “global warming” or “climate change”.

I remember having my feet burned from running in the very hot sand at the beach a couple of times.

Everyone knows how to deal with AZ heat.
It happens every year.
Also every year someone makes a mistake and ends up in trouble.
Happened to me last year....I am still here.

So all those photos over the years of frying eggs on the sidewalk were fake, but because of Climate Change the ground is hot for the first time ever? Riiiight!

Nope. It’s summer.

Cooking eggs on the pavement.
Burning feet trying to walk on pavement barefoot.
Same with beach sand.

Things we did 40 years ago in Massachusetts.

Every single one of the 45 beds in the burn center is full, he said, and one-third of patients are people who fell and burned themselves on the ground.

I say BS!

I lived in Phoenix for a short time 35 years ago, and temps in the high teens in the summer were pretty normal.

I got stranded in Utah one year and had to walk a mile or so to find a hotel- I made it about 1/2 way a d had to stop as the pavement had caused huge blisters on my feet.

A Mormon woman saw me sitting on the side of a road checking my foot out, stopped and offered me a ride. Long story short, I got to a motel, checked in, went to the room in agony, and 45 minutes later a knock on the door- was the woman with a bag of food stuff and some kind of herbs to soak the feet in- I dunno what they were, but wow, they really helped alot.

The temp outside was around 107 (but it was a dry heat lol)

Kudos to those who live snd thrive in hot areas- not my cup of tea.

Maybe time for canopies over some of these workers or artificial breezes...

Oh, good grief Arizona. It's summer. Summer is hot. This is on my front porch last year and partially in the shade. This is normal. I have seen the asphalt melt, mirrors fall off of vehicles, and windshields explode if not vented. And yes, we can fry an egg on the hood of a car that has been sitting in the sun. I'm not sure why anyone would want to, but we can.

I see a lawsuit coming. If you can sue the gun makers for someone getting shot by an illegally owned gun and you can sue spilling your coffee made at a fast food restaurant in your lap and it burns you and collect on either, then you can sue the pavement makers for burns received. And don’t forget the guys that put the lines in the middle of it. They were contributory because they didn’t put osha red on the outside edges to indicate the need for protection equipment. Seems simple enough even for the NTSB and especially for our DOJ.

Construction workers work in 110 degree weather? That should be illegal.

Extreme heat in Arizona increased hospitalizations to pandemic levels at one medical center (CNN)

https://www.cnn.com/2023/07/17/weather/southwest-us-arizona-record-heat/index.html

Note: Correction: A previous version of this story mischaracterized the status of the 55 other suspected heat-related deaths; they are still under investigation. It also misstated where the deaths occurred; they were in Maricopa County.
