Biden Ignores Protests and Imposes Largest U.S. Wind Farm on New Jersey Coast
Breitbart ^ | 07/07/2023 | Simon Kent

The Biden administration on Wednesday approved the Orsted A/S’s Ocean Wind 1 project, setting the stage for installation of a massive wind farm in the waters off New Jersey while ignoring the protests of locals who will be forced to share their environment with as many as 98 turbines.

Interior Secretary Deb Haaland boasted the authorization was “another milestone in our efforts to create good-paying union jobs while combating climate change and powering our nation.”

Bloomberg reports the approval represents the third commercial-scale project of its kind in federal waters to win U.S. government backing — all under President Joe Biden.

Living in OK, I can tell you they are the biggest eye-sore you can think of... in every direction they loom... cool looking at first, but a constant distraction from the natural beauty of the land.

Mighty brave of them co sidering how they keep telling us how severe our weather has become, how strong storms have become. May the turbines tumble into the oceans spilling many gallons of lubricants regu.arly. the sooner these asinine agendas fail, the better!

And to think, the environuts went mental over a few lone cell towers screaming about how they ruined the “natural beauty of the wild”

They are all silent now that windmills infest our lands

If only New Jersey had crude oil deposits 20 miles offshore, then they would be protected from having man-made structures beyond their eye-sight.

Agreed. One or two turbines is a novelty. Hundreds of them look awful.

Plus I can't stand intermittent energy for the grid. I'm cool with a homeowner using pico turbines if he thinks it'll lower his dependency on the grid (power bill). But even that situation assumes the grid power is ready for him whenever it's needed (when there's no wind).

Hundreds of whales and dolphins will ram ashore in an attempt to get away from the constant booming drum of the revolving turbines, which set up all kinds of sonic and subsonic resonance.

Besides making the shallow waters a nightmare for boats of all kinds to navigate.

East Coast is going to be a whales graveyard. Another added bonus is its going to attract more sharks.

I can identify. Up in north central Kansas they are everywhere. An awful eyesore to the beautiful, natural prairie, which don’t generate squat for electricity unless the wind blows. It’s not blowing this morning.

Well...(no pun intended)....they do have vast sub sea deposits of liquid methane.....an excellent source of energy.

This is a DEATH SENTENCE for SCORES of seabirds off the NJ coast that will get WHACKED by the turbine blades.

Sharks and other predatory fish will congregate in these areas to feast upon the carcasses of Pelicans and other birds who frequent the shorelines of NJ.

Do the environMENTALists give a F___? Hell no!

Welll, maybe the gamblers in Atlantic City won’t complain about the spoiled ocean view. Maybe that is why the location was chosen instead of elite areas like Bay Head, or the family friendly shore araes like Wildwood or the gorgeous shore of Sandy Hook.
