Supreme Court rulings favor American freedom, despite what the left thinks

From the Supreme Court to America: Happy Individual Independence Day.

OK, the court didn’t actually say that, but its key rulings did.

The final cases rang out with a consistent clarity that the Constitution favors individual liberty over group rights and government power.

The distinction is what helped make America different from the start, yet to witness the hysterical outcry against the rulings, fewer and fewer Americans understand the founding principles.

Either that or they want to trash American exceptionalism so they can force everybody to think alike.

You don’t have to read the opinions to see the pattern.

You only have to see who is furiously denouncing the court as a right-wing instrument of hate and exclusion.

The list includes the usual suspects — President Biden, The New York Times, Sen. Elizabeth Warren and all the petty potentates of the progressive-media-government complex.

They are united in demanding more sweeping government power and fewer rights for individuals who dissent from their orthodoxy.

Their distorted descriptions of the rulings amount to disinformation as they try to rally their shock troops and rile up their donor bases.

Expect a fall onslaught against the court, more personal attacks on the justices and a new surge of demands for court packing.

To be fair, these justice appointed by Trump achieved something
we could only have dreamed about even last year.

Now you contribute to the idea that Trump didn’t serve us
well.

The Republican party is known as the party that eats its
own, and folks like you are the reason why.

Yes, that’s about it.

Some folks couldn’t figure that out on their own.

Very sad.

I don’t view the Republican party to be Conservative, and I
think it took me decades too long to finally acknowledge it.

I get where you are coming from, and I agree with your
thoughts, so don’t take that wrong.

There are things Trump still doesn’t get right, but tell
me what wonderful things either Bush got right?

Trump the non-politician has gotten more done for us than
any Republican I can remember, other than Reagan who was
also very good.

Lol. Like a leftist, you are paranoid, and struggle with facts. The Senate RINOs first chose and then defended Trump’s SCOTUS nominees. Forcefully, at times. Kavanaugh was sunk without them, for example.

“Trump the non-politician has gotten more done for us than
any Republican I can remember,”

He lost the house and the senate and Biden over-turned all his EO’s.

Fix the middle east by making up WMD and invading Iraq. The WOT and security infrastructure spending so that the National Library of Medicine in Bethesda Md is more secure than Fort Knox. He and Cheney really put the swamp on Defense/Homeland Security $$$ Steroids and got it all pumped up. Oh speaking of other things he got right, DHS. We needed another department of government. Oh and the Patriot act to ensure that Constitutional and privacy issues didn't impeded the jack booted thugs.

Those seem to me to be the big ones.

The topic was the elections. Sorry you didn’t grasp that.

Yeah, they did their duty with regard to the SCOTUS
appointments. I give them zero credit considering how
often they sell us out on other matters.

Why is that surprising, the Left favors tyranny, they have no interest in American freedom.

GWB campaigned as a compassionate conservative. That was our first big warning sign, but it seems a ton of us missed what he was really saying.

Ok. I don’t know why I would choose to listen to Brooks and a Washington Post anything, but curiosity overtook my abhorence and I watched the couple of seconds of David Brooks getting it wrong on freedom of expression vs state control in favor of equality for those it deems more equal than others. I am still dumfounded that someone who wrote for the great WFB could at this stage in his addled life get something so important and so wrong. But David Brooks managed to do it and do so in a way that is utterly devoid of rationale.

For those who want to see Brooks in his mental dotage you can watch from about 0:44 to 1:25 and skip the rest. It will convince you, if you didn’t need to know it, that the compassionate conservative movement in general and David Brooks in particular is brain dead.

Kavanaugh was on Trump’s list of possible nominees before that.

Kavanaugh effectively voted to overrule Kennedy’s work in abortion and affirmative action. And there is not a chance in hell Kennedy would’ve joined Gorsuch’s 303 decision in full.

Smile. I need to explain that I do think the region is better
off with Hussein and his sons but a distant memory.

The WMD issue was not important to me. The guy bragged that he was more than willing to fund any terrorists against the
U. S., and he was paying $25k to the families of suicide
bombers in Israel.

I think the WOT and the homeland security and the FISA
court were certain to be abused, and the Leftists and several
agencies did in the 2015-2016 time frame.

Thanks for your response.

It may seem like a small thing, but he lost me when I
discovered his fix for Texas schools was to throw $30
million dollars to them, to fix things. (I believe it
was an “m”.

It’s not the amount of money we are spending on
education. It’s what they are doing with it.

This let me know he was a liberal. All they do is
throw money at things.

That and his $70 million war chest in 1999, made it clear
to me he was connected, and I wanted no part of him.

The left is preparing the masses for destroying the Supreme Court as we know it. 9nce they do that the only remaining vestige of freedom will be our guns.

It takes the least democratic branch of the government to reflect the will of the people. Something is broken, but we will still take the wins.
