DHS Chief Alejandro Mayorkas Vows to Reinstate ‘Sanctuary Country’ Orders After SCOTUS Ruling
Breitbart ^ | 06/23/2023 | JOHN BINDER

Posted on 06/23/2023 1:11:22 PM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

After the Supreme Court ruled that states lack standing to sue President Joe Biden’s administration for not enforcing federal immigration law, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas says he will reinstate the agency’s so-called “sanctuary country” orders that shield most of the nation’s illegal aliens from arrest and deportation.

“We applaud the Supreme Court’s ruling,” Mayorkas said:

DHS looks forward to reinstituting these guidelines, which had been effectively applied by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers to focus limited resources and enforcement actions on those who pose a threat to our national security, public safety, and border security. The guidelines enable DHS to most effectively accomplish its law enforcement mission with the authorities and resources provided by Congress. [Emphasis added]

On Friday, the Supreme Court ruled in an 8-1 decision that “a citizen lacks standing to contest the policies of the prosecuting authority when he himself is neither prosecuted nor threatened with prosecution” and thus states lacked standing to sue over the orders.

It is my understanding that the idea of standing was actually created by courts out of thin air. The case can’t be heard on its merits because judges are able to toss it for a ridiculous reason. Illegals have a profound effect on all citizens in so many ways it is hard to count. When it comes to issues that are destroying this country the fastest then our USSC is a highly destructive force. They love vote fraud as well.

Who? Mayorkas or the Supreme idiots? If individuals don’t have standing, and states don’t have standing… then who the heck does?

Rents are skyrocketing all over our country and we're supposed to pretend that millions of instant new residents in this country WHO ALL NEED A PLACE TO LIVE are not a part of the reason.

Looks like the lawsuit was a setup. But I really don’t think biden and pals could bring in illegals faster than they already are.

States should have a right to challenge laws that impact
them very negatively.

I recognize the federal government should trump on some
issues, but here the Feds are not abiding by the laws of
the nation. The SCOTUS can’t grasp that?

Citizens can’t take action. States can’t. You’re right
to ask who can then?

There’s no hope re the “border.” All the involved forces have decided we need and deserve unbridled invasion.

We had a good run.

States need to pass a new Tax Law assessing the income, tips, wages AND ASSETS of all Federal Employee’s that work in their State to pay for the servicing of Illegal Aliens.

Worse, the rents for the illegal alien invaders are being paid for by the same taxpayers who are facing those skyrocketing rents.

Impeachment is the constitutional remedy for his violations of his oath of office. Let’s get to it.

Now prosecution is what determines standing? I thought it was being harmed, which the states are being harmed.

The Supreme Court Justices all need to be impeached as well, except for, Justice Samuel Alito dissented from the court’s 8-1 judgment.

the “standing” issue needs to be addressed ASAP!

it is infuriating!

if you are not personally harmed, you basically cant sue!

so.. if government decides to give ... everyone with freakles 20 billion dollars. No one without freakles can sue because they were not harmed!

This is NUTS!
