Sixty-one percent of Americans in a new poll released on Thursday said they disapprove of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, ahead of the one-year anniversary of the ruling on Saturday.
A little over half — 53 percent — said they strongly disapprove of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision that found that the Constitution does not confer a right to abortion, the poll from NBC News found.
Of the 36 percent who said they approve of the ruling, 27 percent said they do so strongly. Just 9 percent said they somewhat approve of the Dobbs decision and 8 percent said they somewhat disapprove, according to the poll.

Wow. The strength of the Media to brainwash is immense.
Thus the reason America is experiencing judgment.
As a consequence of most people probably not being taught about the significance of constitutionally enumerated protections, the Constitution silent about abortion, most people do not understand that Roe v. Wade was a major constitutional scandal imo.
Regarding 2024 elections, it's up to us patriots to initiate the final stage of Trump 47's second term mission to finish draining the swamp by primarying as many of our beloved state and federal lawmakers and executives as we can.
After all, lawmakers and executives continue to show that they do not have the patriotism and leadership skills necessary to find legislative support for effective remedies for unconstitutional government policies.
In fact, given that one of the very few powers that the states have expressly constitutionally given to the unconstitutionally big federal government to dictate domestic policy is to run the Mail Service (most federal domestic policy actually based on stolen state powers), the worst problem that the country would otherwise be looking at with a tsunami of freshman federal lawmakers is a delay with mail delivery.
"Article I, Section 8, Clause 7: To establish Post Offices and post Roads;"
Trump can endorse candidates that Constitution-savvy patriots recommend as long as candidates are not incumbents, candidates also promising to repeal the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments after they win office.
The definition of insanity is reelecting your beloved career state and federal lawmakers and executives over and over again, expecting those same politicians to find remedies for unconstitutional government policies every time.

Nonsense. Prior to the overturning, I saw poll after poll where a majority opposed Roe. It was time for the horrible ruling to go and let the people decide...not 5 people in black robes.
Agree 100%! For me, the eye opener is that a huge portion of the pro-abortion supporters are part of the under 50 crowd. Basically, you'd think the generation that had 1/3rd of their generation aborted would be the last generation to support abortion. It'd be like Jews in the 1940's saying they agree with the Holocaust. But that's where we are today. When we're dealing with the Democrat Party we must treat it not like just a political party or even a party currently in power. It has to be treated like what it is in our society: a cult. Only a cult could brainwash its followers into aborting 60 million of their own kids (I know the number is 67 million, but let's say 10% of the fault belongs on pro-choice Republicans and Libertarians). Only a cult could brainwash the generation that had many of their own aborted to be in favor of abortion. Logic and reason don't work with cults.
Like how many of them have blue hair and nose rings?
It was certain, once Roe v. Wade was overturned, that the legislatures would mostly legislate liberal abortion laws.
Any polls, on any subject, can depend on what questions are asked.
I have not seen polls on partial birth abortion, but would hope that big numbers oppose that.
On the other hand, even many pro life people favor abortion in cases of rape and incest and life of the mother.
It does depend how questions are asked and what specific aspects of abortion are discussed.

What percentage of Americans understand the unconstitutionality of the original Roe decision?
I’d guess about 10%. Maybe.
All most people care about are their emotions on the matter.
The “61%” either don’t understand the state’s rights issue, or are against the 10th Amendment...
Tough ****. This isn’t a democracy and bad law is still bad law. The poll could read 99-0.
“61 percent disapprove of Supreme Court reversal of Roe v. Wade: pol”
Hard to see a future for this country as I suspect that most people in that 61% don’t know or don’t understand that abortion is STILL LEGAL in something like half of the country.
Or if they do understand it’s legal, then it’s even worse, as they are PERFECTLY FINE with the Supreme Court overriding what’s done by states and/or Congress, where ELECTED representatives get to decide issues.
Ireland banned abortion by referendum in 1983, adding a Constitutional amendment to prohibit it.
When the amendment was repealed by a 2/3 vote in a referendum in 2018, the block parties and wild celebrations lasted a week.
The world has changed.
...and 77% of that 61% thinks that SCOTUS overturning Roe v Wade made abortion illegal again.
Sheesh..
Apparently suburban women are too stupid to understand the constitution and can’t quite grasp the meaning of the 10th amendment. Either that or they are too lazy to want to do the work locally.
The poll is probably right but we don’t want an SC that rules by what is popular at the moment. Ideally they should be immune to that. The rule of law is all that should matter
These younger people do not look at it, as having seen 1/3 of their generation aborted. They do not see abortion as a modern day holocaust. Since they don’t see it that way, they just don’t see that any evil was committed.
How to change hearts and minds, is part of the abortion discussion, in my opinion.
I think both.
