The Army’s top civilian leader pushed back amid Republican criticisms that the military is going too "woke," arguing such critiques are deepening an already troubling recruiting crisis.
"We are a ready Army, not a ‘woke’ Army," Army Secretary Christine Wormuth told reporters last week, according to a report in Task & Purpose. "That’s something, frankly, the chief [Army Chief of Staff Gen. James McConville] and I said throughout posture season in hearings, in meetings with members of Congress."
Wormuth’s comments come as all branches of the military have come under fire for what some critics see as "woke" policies, arguing the services have been prioritizing classes and training on diversity, equity, and inclusion over readiness to fight the nation’s wars.

I knew this was going to happen...going all the way back to when they started putting women on US Submarines. Their efforts actually harm recruitment and retention, because most people don’t want to be around this kind of crap.
Straight hetero males have to constantly walk around on eggshells, lest they offend someone. A single allegation of inappropriate behavior can be a career ender, as the command simply won’t stick its’ neck out to defend you...lest they be considered as soft on harassers and fostering a hostile work environment. The job is extraordinarily difficult as it is. The extra artificial stress simply isn’t worth it. So good people leave...or never enlist in the first place.

As a former Army officer, honorably discharged, who performed his active duty during the Vietnam era, but did not serve in Vietnam, I totally appreciate your posting. There is no way in hell that I would encourage any child of mine or of a good friend’s to enter the Army with absolutely worthless creeps like Milley leading it. All that’s going to happen is somebody is going to get buggered or will have his or her life wordlessly thrown away in a hopeless, worthless, self-destructive war that never should’ve happened. In its guide on COUNTERING EXTREMIST ACTIVITY, besides actual cases,on pg. 9 under "Military personnel are prohibited from actively participating in extremist activities, one aspect of what the term “EXTREMIST ACTIVITIES” means: states
f. Advocating widespread unlawful discrimination based on.... sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
And under what The term “Active Participation” means it states,
e. Fundraising for, or making personal contributions through donations of any kind...dues) to, a group or organization that engages in extremist activities, with the intent to support those activities.
f. Creating, organizing, or taking a leadership role in a group or organization that engages in or advocates for extremist activities, with knowledge of those activities.
i. Distributing literature or other promotional materials, on or off a military installation, the primary purpose and content of which is to advocate for extremist activities, with the intent to promote that advocacy.
l. Knowingly displaying paraphernalia, words, or symbols in support of extremist activities or in support of groups or organizations that support extremist activities.
Meaning that any conservative church and its faithful supporters (as well as FReepers) can essentially be defined as holding to and supporting EXTREMIST ACTIVITY, since they advocate widespread unlawful discrimination based on.... sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation, in opposing special protection status based upon them (which is essentially based upon how they feel and thus act, versus non-moral aspects such as skin color).
