A Colorado Circle K employee is suing the company after she was fired for putting her hands on an armed thief that snatch a pack of cigarettes from behind the counter.

Mary Ann Moreno, 75, claims in her lawsuit against Circle K Stores, Inc. that she was wrongfully terminated from the Westminster store she had worked at for 18 years for her brief interaction with the criminal.

“I really did not think I would get fired for something like that. [Maybe] If I had chased him out the door or, you know, argued with him,” she told KDVR.

On Oct. 4, 2020, Moreno was behind the counter when Tyler Wimmer walked into the convenience store with a knife in one hand and a sealed package in the other that also contained a knife.

It’s not clear in surveillance footage obtained by KDVR whether or not he ever threatened Moreno with the knife, but Willmer did ask if she would give him a pack of cigarettes for free. Moreno declined, telling him she would get fired if she did.

Poor old lady can't retire after working her whole life because of depressed wages and crazyhigh taxes courtesy of the Feds and its border and tax and spend existence.

Works in a dangerous job at her advanced age, and bully thief steals smokes from behind the counter in a brazen feral move.

She out of courage, decency, and company loyalty tries to stop the theft.

Awoke superwealthy elite feckless cowardly management just wants to avoid legal issues so gets rid of the uppity old lady who is doing her part to prevent societal collapse and complete dissolution of morality.

Fact is, the elite owners are doing Cloward-Piven's work.

In another generation, it will be expected that taking cigarettes from behind the counter is the due of the feral Amish.

It is right that they do it.

Anyone who prevents it must be punished, as happened here.

Bad is good, and good is bad.

Key is the fact that the disparity in wealth between the owners and the worker is so great that any amount of theft is really insignificant to the owners. Insurance will cover it.

The insurers don't care because their wealth is so great that they have zero interest in preventing theft.

Too many super wealthy sitting around with no skin in the game of real human life. The wealthy have no meaningful work to do, no real risk anymore.

Nothing to do but sit on their idle asses and control and armchair quarterback and cruelly regulate some pitiful old lady as she does her dangerous job as bravely as she can, so she can eat and pay rent.

All this is very unstable.

She didn't try to stop him or pursue him. She spontaneously reacted to an armed thief's aggression.

Moment clerk touches thief stealing cigarettes. Moreno claims she was fired for briefly touching the thief when he stole a pack of cigarettes from the store in Oct. 2020.

Willmer starts to walk towards the door but suddenly turns around, walks right past Moreno, and grabs a pack from behind the counter, video shows.

Moreno grabs his arm trying to stop him but then backs off, according to the footage.

“I, like, freaked out, you know? And I just went like that,” she said, motioning like she’s pushing Willmer away from her.

“Well, supposedly, I guess I grabbed his arm. I don’t remember that, but I push him, and that’s when he ran out.”

Willmer can be seen on camera walking around outside the store after the theft. Moreno said she immediately called her manager and 911.

Figure when enough close, the criminals begin hyjacking Amazon trucks. Wonder what being a guard with a coach gun pays?

Why have clerks? Just leave the doors open and re-stock as needed. /s

The headline isn’t really clear.

It seems to say that a shoplifter sued the company and that the clerk was fired after that happened.

THE CAUSE was the thief—and their actions.
NOT the employee.

Yeah, that will likely be next but there will be very little to eat in those Amazon boxes. I mean, sometimes, but not usually.

They’ll be going after grocery delivery vans. Flash mobs hitting convenience stores.

It’s hard to believe how poor the grammar is for ‘professional’ writers nowadays. The headline implies the exact opposite of what the article actually says. Extremely poor writing ‘skills’.

Control the masses with the food supply. Make it difficult for people to find work in order to BUY (and for companies to SELL).

It's almost like the (Antichrist) Beast is working behind the scenes already.

IMHO, Satan is preparing the world for the debut of his Antichrist. The Global Citizens will cheer him. As will the United Nations.

What would really be cool, would be, like, being a Global Citizen. Yeah, that would be soooooo cool. Like totally.

Nothing like being a Global Citizen, eh?

Love the United Nations. Globalism is so cool.

Just step right up, Global Citizen, and get yer Global ID 2020, microchip and tattoo, all to prove you're a good citizen of the world.

Notice that even the fools in the audience (as well as the band and United Nations leader at that time) are doing the "O" hand symbol to honor Manchurian Candidate Obama who is appearing on-screen in a pre-recorded message

The 2014 Global Citizen Festival - woohoo, a New World Order! Peace and Security!

Smiling faces, smiling faces, sometimes......

Take action. Earn tickets. See impact. Be a part of the movement to end extreme poverty!

Merchandise is private property that is sold for a profit.

In the Communist Manifesto Marx summed it up with one sentence: “ “Abolition of private property.”

And the “bible” for the Left is “The Communist Manifesto”.

“ Far lefties defending the thieving maggots.”

It’s not about defending maggots but about protecting the company from lawsuits. Yes the thieving maggots can sue and they would likely win if they got hurt. That’s our legal system.

The cause of bringing attention to the company is not relevant. What’s relevant from the company’s point of view is that the attention is there. What the company failed to take into consideration is “the Streisand Effect.” Barbar Streisand tried to have a photo of her California property taken down from a state database. She sued California. Before the lawsuit no one had downloaded the photo. After she filed the lawsuit people burned up the internet downloading the photo. The individual people running companies are not idiots. But when you put a bunch of them together the summation of the whole results in the company doing idiotic things. No individual in Ford would have made a conscious decision to let people burn to death in their Pinto cars. But the company made a decision, in writing no less, that paying off the family members of people who died in the fires caused by their bad design was cheaper than fixing the issue. In the end, they had to fix the issue anyway and they lost reputation and trust. I saw companies I worked for do the same thing over and over.

Yes, they’ll get a food desert - harming others in the process

I’m surprised the shoplifter did not sue the store for being interfered with.
