DeSantis Approaches All Time Poll Low Amidst Trump Indictment Bump.
National Pulse ^ | June 13, 2023 | Staff writer

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is polling in the teens again, approaching his all-time low in the Republican primary field, which originally came on May 13th 2023. That was a full month after the first Trump indictment, which suggests the effect of this second case against the former President may hamper DeSantis for weeks to come. A Morning Consult tracker now sees Trump at 59 percent in the Republican primary, a full 40 points ahead of his nearest competitor, DeSantis (19). The rest of the field lags further behind, with Mike Pence on eight, Tim Scott on four, and the rest (Haley, Ramaswamy, Christie, Hutchinson, Bergum) pulling in 10 points, in total, between them. Ron DeSantis has not gained any ground at all since his campaign launch, and is struggling to make his mark on the Republican Primary. A full 25 percent of the Republican likely voter base said they would not be willing to consider DeSantis as their nominee. Just 14 percent said the same for Trump. At the beginning of 2023, DeSantis actually commanded a lead on the question “Who would you vote for, Joe Biden vs. DeSantis or Trump?” He outperformed Trump up until his campaign launch (and a shadow campaign), and has lagged behind since.

While Trump also has the highest voter favorables according to Morning Consult, Chris Christie has the lowest.

[DeSantis] has zero chance of getting any traction with We the People unless he acknowledges the elephant in the room [ — rigged elections].

Great analysis there, enumerated.

Oh really? How did that work for all the other governors who’ve run even for VP?

I’m sure they were all run out on rails for having the temerity.

“The election was rigged and Trump was too weak to stop it.”

All 335 million of us were too weak to stop it.
50% of us actually cheered it on.
25% turned a blind eye.
23% did nothing but point fingers (that’s you).
2% fought back - no one more bravely than President Trump.

And you want to blame him for not stopping it?

Pathetic

I saw a video some months back where he was replying to the question, he said he planned to fulfill his term to the people of his state. I knew then that he was slime because it was obvious he was making other plans. I’m sure it’s around someplace.

and desantis isn’t true leadership. he’s the latest version of “community organizer-follow what you are told to do” without the black face.

dems (and sold out reps) will beat anyone- they are linked with people who own the software for the machines that supposedly count the votes.

jeb, ron, shrub and poppy, mccain, mitt, all in bed with dems and globalists plans.

trump was the only one to beat them twice at their game so that’s why they stopped counting in key states 2020 election night. If God wants He will intervene and we will have the people’s president. If God wants He will allow the rot to continue and we will lose what’s left of our country under some rino or dem puppet

if another candidate were true and honest their voice would rise, God respects that - truth and honesty.

I don’t see many, if any, running.

“I knew then that he was slime because it was obvious he was making other plans.”

It was obvious to you, and every Floridian that DeSantis was being considered as a presidential candidate - and that he was considering a run.

It was openly talked in the debate with Crist and he (DeSantis) did not commit to serving an additional four terms as governor.

Every Florida voter knew it was a possibility. Those that didn't like those terms - or just didn't like DeSantis - voted against him.

That said, most Floridians accepted the terms and reelected him overwhelmingly.

President Trump himself accepted those terms and jumped aboard the DeSantis reelection bandwagon.

You have not claimed you “had no idea.” If fact you have said just the opposite.

There are real reasons to prefer Trump over DeSantis. You ought to find one of those real reasons and talk it up.

Reagan WAS the President. Ron is not. As you could see by watching this it did not go over with hoots and hollers. Trying to be like Reagan is also a bad idea because this Ron is certainly not Reagan.

I just don’t like seeing people stab President Reagan in the back.

I thought President Reagan being there was fine.

They won’t knock each other out. One of them will win and one of them will lose. And let’s be honest, all wishful thinking aside, it’s going to be Trump who wins and DeSantis who loses. DeSantis needs Trump more than Trump needs DeSantis.

DeSantis has more to gain by joining forces with Trump than Trump does, and any joining of forces will occur on his terms.

Trump will win and DeSantis will either try to patch things up with Trump and perhaps salvage his political career or he will drift off into oblivion once his term as governor is over.

62/19. Trump leading Meatball.

37/0 Trump to DeSantis federal indictments.

I’m sure all the FReepers of Italian ancestry appreciate your juvenile fear-motivated jab at the governor.
