Asian-American who scored 1590 out of 1600 on SAT, got 4.65 GPA says he applied to Harvard, Princeton, 4 other elite colleges — and they all rejected him

Jon Wang, an Asian-American, achieved a nearly perfect sore of 1590 out of 1600 on the Scholastic Aptitude Test and attained 4.65 grade-point average in high school — well beyond perfect.

Most folks likely would assume that waves of red carpets would come rolling in from elite colleges that would love nothing more than to scoop up a student boasting such numbers.

Indeed, Wang told Fox Nation he applied to six "top-tier" institutions of higher learning — Harvard, Princeton, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the California Institute of Technology, Carnegie-Mellon, and the University of California, Berkeley.

But the verdict — despite Wang's performance, which included a perfect 800 on the math portion of the SAT — was a resounding no from all six schools, the cable network program said.… [they] told me I had a 20% chance of getting accepted to Harvard as an Asian-American and a 95% chance as an African-American," Wang told Fox Nation.

There is a lawsuit on affirmative action by Asian students at the Supreme Court right now. It should be released in the next two weeks (before the end of the current term). Hopefully they rule correctly.

It comes from letting wealth sovereigns run our government, politics and society.

My grandson has a friend that is currently studying pre med. He was born in the US but is of Korean descent. Why can’t he just put on his application that he is American when he applies to medical school? Seems logical, but the world is no longer logical, is it?

Hilarious how so many liberals are racists, hiding behind “equality”...

Silly Asian. He thought college was still about academic brilliance.

Probably didn’t have enough bulls**t extra activities on his card because he was so busy studying and excelling in his studies.

Too bad, so sad. Those schools could fill all their places with students with those GPA/SAT results.

Obviously, they are acting in an outrageous anti-Asian manner, but this one case proves nothing.

Universities accept on quotas, not merit. The only acceptance on merit is sports merit for athletic teams.

No, without family connections, an Asian would have had to successfully start a multi-million dollar business from scratch to attract attention. Today, even Bill Gates wouldn't stand a chance.

But getting an Ivy League diploma has actually become a negative these days. Would you ever hire one? For example, Yale Law School graduate Hunter Biden is available, between rehab visits. He does come with permanent criminal immunity to all things.

The “elite” colleges get THOUSANDS as many applicants as they have room for. You need a lot more than straight As and top placement exams to get in. You need a story. Or a legacy. Or a relative that’s going to buy them a new building.
