Former Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) said Wednesday on CNN’s “The Lead” that the U.S. should arm Ukraine until they win the war against Russia.
Anchor Jake Tapper said, “Russian Dictator Vladimir Putin has launched this vicious invasion of Ukraine killing lots of civilians. As you know, two of your opponents have given some interesting signals. Donald Trump refused to say in the town hall with Kaitlyn Collins which side he wants to win, Ukraine or Russia. He refuses to call Vladimir Putin a war criminal. Ron DeSantis calls it a territorial dispute. Are they wrong? What’s your position?

Yep, I know. My brother enlisted and served in the U.S. Army’s 25th Infantry Division in Cu Chi Vietnam in ‘66-’67. After being there a few months, he wrote that the war was a joke, but that at least when it was all over, he could say he did his part. Said it was a good thing the gooks couldn’t shoot, and that there was more of a threat of being shot by his own people, than the enemy. The war aim of Ukraine is to expel Russia from its territory.
The US supports that aim.
I thought that was common knowledge.
Only thing I could find was this from the CSIS webpage: “Kyiv’s primary war aim is to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine violated by Russian forces and their proxies beginning in 2014”
Hardly a realistic goal and not from official Ukraine sources. That isn’t going to happen unless the US intervenes and does it for them.
